Huh... I stopped reading Justice League following Hitch's departure (I surprisingly kinda liked his run), but that might be enough to pull me back in.

So it's looking like we're losing Jessica and Simon but gaining John, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter. That's pretty good. And I love Cheung.

Isnt it obvious? His cover is referencing the animated Justice League line-up. The original line-up only had those seven. Give or take Barry. Hopefully this Hawkgirl is Kendra and not Shayera/Shiera Hall/Hol/Thal/Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman whatever 100th name she goes by.

I'm pumped for the JL relaunch, but I just don't understand why they had to restart from #1 again. Seems pointless after Rebirth already did that not too long ago.

I guess it depends on where the current numbers leave off. If there's a real turning point to what's coming up, then I could buy it, otherwise...

Let’s face it, the current JL is overwrought with stupid melodrama. I mean really? The Watchtower handyman has brought the team of heroes to its knees? Lol. The worst part is that they then brought their melodrama to the Titans and disbanded that team for no good reason. JL is a mess.

I always wanted Bruce Timm to write a long lasting in continuity JL book, with whatever roster he choose.

Two observations from this week:
1) I will miss Super Sons like crazy! It is like the ice cream drumstick I allow myself at night: it might not have much substance but it really can put a smile on my face; and
2) Sum Humphries is killing it with Nightwing. He’s the next big thing in comic writing.

I thought they'd want to market Cyborg since he was just in the movie. More reasoning in that than focusing on a lineup from a cartoon that's more than 15 years old.

Especially after the movie flopped, the cartoon is still pretty much considered the best adaptation of the League we've ever gotten, though. It's a low bar, but still.

So in addition to the main book from Snyder, we're getting Justice League Odyssey and a relaunched Justice League Dark.

I thought I read the panel refer to him as the team's Hannibal Lecter, so I don't know about "good", but it certainly is a bold choice.
