Dead Rising 2, Possible trailer leak?

Probably. Haven't tried for that achievement myself, but everything else resets when you exit an area, so I don't see why the spraypaint would be different. I'm sure it's still counting the signs you painted even if they don't look painted anymore, though.

Stuck at 85% for achievements.

Missing TIR first place wins, 53k & 72k zombie kills, and co-op. Sigh.
Do unranked TIR matches count towards first place wins achievements?

Nope. Only ranked matches count for achievements and keeping your winnings and such.

I hate Ramsterball but I luckily did manage to get first place in that, mainly bc the other players I was with, sucked at it. Got first in Master Shafter and Pounds of Flesh. Now I need 6 more in the other events (which I suck in). I like the format of it as it replicates a real life show and feels very much like American Gladiators, but with zombies.

Anyone get the platinum or 100% in this? The requirements for the various trophies/achievements is ridiculous. Not impossible, but there's so much you need to keep track of. Without a list, I see it being very hard to do so

I just beat the game today. Man I wish I hadnt been spoiled on the twist at the end as I knew [blackout]Sullivan[/blackout] was going to be a psychopath before the reveal. I thought it was lame though that there was no buildup for that as he played very littlerole in the store up till that point. The twist would have been more shocking had their been some actual character development there

I also got the S ranknig, which I read was the best one. Kinda disappointed with that though as you dont really see much of a resolution. [blackout]I was expecting to at least see Chuck's name clear. We assume it was bc he got the evidence but I thought it would have been better had it FF a week later with him and Katy trying to pick their lives back up and a news report commenting on his status[blackout]

I could see it coming a mile away. I thought there was plenty of build-up if you paid attention to his tone in cutscenes and the convenience of [blackout]TK escaping and the zombies breaking in[/blackout] on his watch.

As for the ending, remember, Case: West is supposed to take place after the end of the game. More is yet to come... ;)

That happened very close to the reveal though. There wasnt much build up over teh course of the game. Id have been more shock had [blackout]Rebecca or Stacey[/blackout]been revealed as traitor especially considering how much they helped you. I felt a closer connection to them and felt I knew them more as characters.

Too bad its a 360 exclusive :cmad:

I haven't heard anything about a release date, unfortunately. I want it pretty bad too. Frank West makes his triumphant return! :hehe:

But neither of those characters would've made any sense, specifically because they help you so much. They'd have effectively been working against themselves for the entire game. [blackout]Sullivan[/blackout] just sat back and watched, waiting to see how close to the truth Chuck would get before deciding whether he was too much of a threat or not.

Totally agree with that, there didn't need to be a twist in this, we really didn't need
Rebecca or Stacy
to be revealed as a traitor, Dan Brown wasn't a writer on the game.

I'm through 12 hours of my second playthrough trying to save every survivor and fill the notebook, hopefully get Duct Tape FTW and Father of the Year too. Father of the Year won't be difficult, only need to get Katey the stuffed rabbit and funny painting. The game is much easier the second time through. Excited to see what the psycho fights will be like now that I'm leveled up so much more.

For those trying to fill the notebook, make sure you
visit the Yucatan Casino on the first day, kill Ted, tame Snowflake, and save the survivor locked in the office. Those seem to be some of the easiest things to miss. I didn't know to go there on my first play-through, and even after I learned about it and dealt with Ted and Snowflake, I forgot to pick up the survivor on one play-through.

Yeah, I got those three. I've been looking at a fast forwarded playthrough on Youtube to find out what I missed, since my first playthrough I only saved 45 survivors. The most amazing thing is some of them were scoops, I think I just wasn't being efficient enough saving people, so they weren't able to show up, heard there can only be 8 total psychos and survivors appearing at a time on the game. I know I waited until I was almost out of time to deal with the biker and Slappy.

Yeah, it bugged me when I learned that. Only 8 survivors or psychos combined (!) allowed to exist in the game at a time? I thought the time crunch from the first game had gone away since I always seemed to have time for everything, but it turns out I was just missing stuff because I put off some scoops too long. :argh:

I saved 35 survivors in my first playthrough. Im playing again and focusing on saving as many as possible for the trophy. Its amazing how Im seeing differint ones show up now since I have removed the others that were in my queue

Just got the game. Should I actually do the story first or wait for my 2nd playthrough?

You sort of have to do the story first, as much as that kind of stinks. I wish, after doing a main playthrough, you could hit sort of a pause so that the main cases will stop and we could just roam around infinitley. I guess you sort of have that with co-op, but...meh.

If you ignore the cases, 72 hours is a pretty long time to roam around doing whatever you want. The only thing that sucks is that some areas don't open up unless you do the cases.

Im running into the problem now with nothing popping up. Im doing the cases but not a whole lot of missions appearing at all.

There are some stretches like that, but usually it's because there's some secret survivor mission you don't get notified about but has extra survivors hogging the 8-survivor limit and preventing other scoops from appearing.

I still haven't beat this game. Haha, but it's okay, it took me a while to get around to beating the first one.

I got to Overtime and stopped for a full year before finishing the first game. :)

About 2/3 through my second playthrough, 99% sure I haven't missed a survivor yet, gave the tape it or die guys their plate thrower equipment, so should get a call from them to pick 'em up. Also got the Father of the Year, Improper Behavior and Death from Afar Achievements, I'm at 25 achievements, the annoying thing is my Gold membership expires today and I don't have any online achievements. Although, I'm having fun with the single player, so may wait to renew. Hoping to get 5-6 more achievements this playthrough, then go on a zombie massacre with my next, ignoring sidequests and just working on the 72,000 kills.

Did you get the 3 ladies in the Royal Flush Plaza?

Did you get the 3 ladies in the Royal Flush Plaza?
those were my last survivors and I got them today. Stupid broads. Theres a hoard of zombies running loose yet they are out bc they couldnt miss the latest sale.

I never even knew about those ladies until I read about them online. I think I only went up to the second floor of the Royal Flush Plaza twice before that: once to collect some of the toys for Katie, and again to grab a magazine from the book store. There's basically no point to actually going up there.
