Yeah, really wish they didn't include the online achievements. Those are gonna be a ***** to get. Both TIR and the co-op stuff

I just hope I dont have trouble finding someone to play with b the time I attempt the co op stuff bc Im getting into the game long after most have

I shut off co-op play because I wanted to go through the first time alone. I should turn that back on.

Yeah, Im not even going to do co op till I play through once by myself. For one I dont know what Im doing and need to learn the game before I piss off a co op partner getting us both killed

Well, you're going to need to revive him once for that achievement.

By the way, where do I find the BFG gun? I think it's the only one I need to finish the firearms achievement. I am the part where I'm locked in the safe room after beating the military guy and bringing Rebecca there. Does it show up later in the game?

What's a BFG? The gun that Boykin, the crazy military guy, had? That's actually called the LMG. There's one in that area he was in after you beat him and another on top of that big Mayan-looking statue in the middle of the Yucatan Casino.

No, it's a kind of sonic weapon, it's a part of a combo weapon as well. I found out where it was, the northen part of the underground tunnels, seems annoying to get to, but for the two achievements it'll get me, I'll go grab it.

Also found the "special" zombies aren't the bad, if you use combo weapons they go down pretty easy. Golf carts work really well in taking them down too.

Oh, right, the sonic gun. You find those underground in a special area you'll get to pretty soon on a story mission.

The special zombies aren't a problem to kill, it's their speed and aggressiveness that bugs me. If you're on foot and trying to get from point A to point B but you need to stop for any reason, you're gonna get mauled by like half a dozen of the bastards before you can even breathe. And then, of course, you have to do more to get them off you if they grapple you, which gets annoying if it happens repeatedly.

the sonic gun is AWESOME!!!

part of a combo weapon? what can you make?

Well I started playing again this weekend and that same guy, Chuck, which killed me before with his shotgun, did it AGAIN. Next time I played and crossed him, I left his azz alone and let the zombies eat him bc I wasnt taking any chances going near him.

I really into this game now and have migrated over to it as my primary one at the moment. Overall Im loving it. The one downside though is the load times. They are everywhere and last too long. The worst is when you come across a psychopath and have to wait for the game screen to load back up after the cinematic is done.

Speaking of which, when did you guys first tackle them? I came across 2 and they both killed me with no problems. Im thinking I may have to just let those survivors die bc I cant save them at the low level, Im currently at. Did you guys play all the way through your first time, or did you restart the story for the perks it brings?

played all the way through 1st time got overtime and best possible ending

last 2 boss fights wernt too hard tbh - just take painkillers and quicksteps with ya

Knife gloves make boss fights way easier. Also, being over level 10 or 15. Things are tough your first few levels.

Completely agree about the loading screens. I hate those, especially when you get them sandwiched between cutscenes. You watch a cutscene, see the load screen, get all excited to play, and then get hit with another cutscene and another load screen.

Started Overtime mode over the weekend, did about half the fetch quests saved, then finished up later and went to fight TK. However, I forgot to save before fighting TK the first time and lost, so have to do all those fetch quests and get to TK once again. Argh! Really just want to finish this playthrough up and start again, next playthrough I'm going to work on getting all the combo cards and survivor achievements. After that probably just gonna do a Zombie ramage playthrough to get the 72,000 Zombie kill achievement.

drink painkiller and quickstep just before you fight tk - makes it a bit easier

Whats worse is when you have a group of survivors and one gets stuck on the old screen you have to load up that area again to get them close enough and then reload the next. Its ridiciulous. I know theres alot going on, but I wish the developers had found better ways to deal with this. On the PS3 the install is about 2.2gb but I'd have settled for it being the typical 5gb that Capcom does if it meant the loading would be more bearable.

Anyways, I have 36 hours left so Im halfway through my first playthrough. I didnt even notice it at first but the front cover has a guy dressed up as a Servebot....lol. I also ran into Slappy yesterday. [blackout]It totally creeped me out how you stand over the dead female character and his big smily face creeps up behind you[/blackout]

I usually run ahead of the survivors, set a waypoint at the exit, and then try to clear a path back to them. The Leadership magazine helps, too. Speeds the survivors up a bit, usually.

what do you mean by set a waypoint? Are there actual commands you can give them outside of pressing that one button to tell them to come here. Can you tell them to stay back?

If you hold the aim button (left trigger on the 360) and press the button to call the survivors (Y on the 360), you'll set a little green waypoint that the survivors will run to. You can use it to tell them to "stay back" in the sense that you can set it in a relatively quiet, zombie-free (or psycho-free) area, which would keep them out of harm's way. If you give them guns and set them just outside of the area a psycho goes to (like right in the doorway of the bathroom where you fight that crazy CURE guy), they actually become decent backup, distracting the psycho if you lure the psycho into their weapons' range.

Oh wow. Did not know that. Thanks. Will have to experiment, next time I play

Beat TK last night, then got the Zombie Fu and Smashy achievements on a new playthrough, think I'm going to restart the story again now, just so I can take care of other stuff without worrying about not getting/using weapons.

By the way for the "Improper Behavior" achievement, everytime I spraypainted a poster and leave the area, when I come back it's no longer spraypainted, is that normal.
