Deadpool Deadpool Discussion- SPOILER WARNING!!

How about... Kurt Russell for Cable? He's making a come back at the moment... just imagine Snake Plisskin as Cable? Is there anything better?

Glad to see everyone is enjoying this film... 6 hours till i see it wooooo!

Gonna see it tomorrow hopefully. Got a question though for those who've seen it.

Can you say which style of Deadpool the film goes with? Is it more Joe Kelly, Duggan and Posehn, or Daniel Way-styled?

Anyone else notice that infamous 'guy who was already up there' was seen getting slammed and stuck against the road sign at the end of the chase?

Knowing that scene from the trailer and then seeing him stuck made me laugh long before we got the actual line :hehe:

Oh my, it killed me when he rubbed Blind Al's face with his baby hand. I was not expecting it lol

Movie was sick. I have a question though, wasn't he meant to get his healing factor from wolverine?

Can someone pm me or inivistext how Deadpool references X-Men Origins: Wolverine? I probably won't see the movie but I'm curious to what extent he tears his previous incarnation a new corn chute.

Just an action figure of Barakapool with Wade saying something like, "This was the lowest point in my career" or something like that. He doesn't really rub the fact that Fox screwed him up once into the audiences face.

Full of action and full of Deadpool. Well deserved depiction.

Great movie! It is a pretty generic origin story though. It feels more like a big budget pilot episode rather than a standalone movie in its own right (which is perfectly understandable).

As someone who personally finds the humor in the MCU pretty forced and grating, I was pleasantly surprised at how funny this movie actually was. I think it's because the movie relied less on witty one liners for humor (although there are many of those) but more on character dynamics and personalities. The movie's funniest moments IMO come from Colossus's earnest desire to be a big brother to everyone around him and to make Deadpool his personal pet project.

Speaking of Colossus, the supporting players really elevate the material. Blind Al, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and even the taxi driver were all very likable and felt like fully formed personalities right off the bat.

I really loved the movie but it does suffer from what most superhero movies suffer from: Sub par villain and a hero that just never felt threatened. Still though, it was a fresh take on a superhero origin story. The jokes really worked well in the story.

I can't believe we got a Bob cameo. That random meeting is just like in the books when Deadpool is slaughtering hydra soldiers. Glad they could make that work.

...and the line about sewing his mouth shut.

Okay, cool. Thanx man.

It shows the figure and got hear Wade say, "And this is my most prized possession!" He then picks up the WHAM! album underneath it.

Awesome movie! I liked every second of it. I haven't read any Deadpool comics so I don't know everything about the character(I think I know enough) but I still enjoyed a movie. The only little part I didn't like was the
Hugh Jackman mask near the end. That scene would have been better without it.

I enjoyed it thoroughly, I first came across the character in either a Silver Sable or X-Factor book, basically Silver Sable was protecting someone Deadpool was going after..it was irreverent then, and its the same now

enjoyed it thoroughly

You can really tell they went through a lot of message boards and forums to research fanboy gripes and wants for this thing.

Fox also brought in Liefeld and consulted with them about the do's and don'ts about how to make a Deadpool film, so they definitely put in the effort to find what they needed to do and hire the right people to make it happen.

Oh yes I totally forgot about the sewing the mouth shut and WHAM! moments.

Just got out. A ****load of fun! Being from the UK there were a few references that went over my head but on the whole it was great, surprisingly not as much of Reynolds in the suit as I thought there would be. It's pretty much just that first action sequence and the end with bits and pieces in the middle.

A solid 8/10

I've just seen the movie and it was really funny. A really good movie that was unfortunately affected by the high praise I heard from some before the movie, which it didn't quite live up to. Not a flaw of the movie itself, but I wish I had gone into this movie without that in the back of my head since then it would have been more of a positive surprise.

Still, lots of fun humor, some good action, and overall really good entertainment. Definitely what Deadpool should be, and the superhero year is off to a very good start.

The question who is going to play him!?

I always felt that Stephen Lang would translate well into Cable.

I do await DarthSkywalker's reaction to Deadpool's casting choices for Cable.
