Good trailer, and looks like fun. Too bad the trailer that the wider public will see will be completely neutered and safe for the kiddies.

With the way they are advertising it so far I'm sure a Red Band will be very popular online.

Kids wont be watching this film though.
I think the trailer had the right tone and Reynolds look great.

Just saw the phone cam footage of the full trailer
It looks like it's gonna be a helluva fun film.. the action looks fun and as OTT as you'd expect, the dialogue is really funny too; the meeting of Wade and Weasel and the back and forth is great! "a testicle with teeth" :woot:

All the characters that RR has played over the years screamed Deadpool for so long so it's great he can finally bring the Merc with the mouth to the big screen..

If this doesn't do great at the BO then it'll be a cult hit on home release for sure..

That doesn't really matter. A trailer like this comic-con trailer can't be played in U.S. theaters. The MPAA won't allow it. There are very strict guidelines about trailers in the US and when R rated films can be advertised, what they can be attached to, and how graphic and crude the trailer can be. So whatever trailer comes out in theaters will be severely neutered, and is unlikely to represent the tone of the film properly. Like def28 said a red band will be released online, but the average moviegoer who just watch trailers at the cinema are likely to see a very different trailer at the cinema. It just concerns me that whatever watered-down trailer gets released will make some people think this is just another wolverine origins type of ****fest.

All this to say, I hope Fox handles the public marketing of this film well, and doesn't half ass it. They seem to have done well on the film. Now, they just need to properly sell it to audiences.

Didn't find the trailer as funny as others seem to have done, but it does look good

There will definitely be parents brining their kids to this and kids under 17 watching this online or on DVD/Blu Ray/Cable. Just like alot of us wathed Aliens, Robocop, Blade, NOES, Friday The 13th, Predator etc growing up. Not every parent is strict on taking their kids to R rated films and Deadpool already has a lot of younger fans.

I was a kid when I started reading Deadpool, I would have snuck in with my friends to see this for sure. The fact I wouldn't be allowed to see it would make me want to see it more.

Yeah, that's true. They can't bank on the harshness for alot of the marketing. There is more then enough to separate itself from Origins though. TBH , Reynolds pre Deadpool got a good reaction when I saw Origins. The rating wasn't what hurt that film, it was just crap all around. I think they can still sell the action and humor pretty well along with some 4th wall breaking and bleeps. Maybe Deadpool will be pissed cause he can't curse in the trailer. Have him kill the editor or something.

I think this could be this years GOTG. In terms of breakout CBM that surprises people

I have only seen like 3 seconds of the trailer... but I hope FOX releases it this month!

EDIT: So I've seen the leaked trailer... and parts of it made laugh and lol at this film having a sex scene and didn't I hear Stan Lee? I need a HQ of this soon!

It looks perfect. Every picture, every interview, and now this leaked trailer= Perfection.

I think this is actually one of the most important comic book movies for its potential to break the mould. More so than Guardians of the Galaxy, which still followed a formula. This movie is going to take a conventional superhero script and wipe its butt with it.

That trailer was amazing, I was already on board with this, but now my excitement is through the roof!

Plenty to like in this trailer, comedy seems solid and self-referential in keeping with you would expect from Deadpool and some nice inventive action set pieces. Really like the look of Colossus too which was a nice surprise.

Looks like they just went **** it lets just have blast making this and do what we like, hopefully that translates to on screen and judging by the trailer it looks like it just might.

I think in the back of their minds they know this probably won't get a sequel, so they just went all out. That's refreshing in a world where so many things are saved for sequels and it's all about the future, not the here and now.

Definitely!

I'm pretty sure Stan Lee was present in the strip club scene which is hilarious.

"You look like Freddy Kreuger's face placed over a topographical map of Utah."

That seriously made me crack the **** up.

So agree with this.

Loved the footage. This looks like good fun. Reynolds seems perfect for the role and you can tell he has a huge amount of passion for it.

Saw the Trailer and I just gotta say this movie looks like it will be a whole lot of fun. Hopefully they release a theatrical trailer online in the next few weeks my guess is they will put it with Fantastic Four.

The jokes seem a little bit forced, and not that good. I really have a small problem with movies that think they have the responsability of being funny at all costs. Plus, Deadpool reminds me of Spider-Man in TASM2.

Bingo. And when sequels are guaranteed the filmmakers get lazy and go the safe route instead of striving to be great i.e AOU
