I just had a random thought about a series ending that I'm sure has been mentioned before.

Dexter gets caught and goes to trial. He walks, just like some of the people he used to kill. Dexter thinks he's gotten away, but Deb kills him.

I'd skip the trial completely.

If we're gonna keep Hannah/Dex thing until the end. Have her be killed causing Dexter to rage out again with his Dark Passenger going on the warpath by killing innocents too. Deb knowing he'll be caught eventually for his reckless actions takes him out. She'll be devastated but it gives Dexter his peace.

I'm not a fan of any trial.

Nor do I see Deb killing Dex. Might as well make an entire new series called 'Debra'. Cause if she kills her own brother whom she is in love with... after all the **** she has been through... she is by far the craziest ***** in history

12 episodes of 'boring as hell'. in a case this big, Dex would be under constant surveillance. Meaning each episode would consist of him waking up and doing nothing, or going to a courthouse. Meh.

I don't expect Dex to find peace... never has he expected his dark passenger to go away...and thats a important part of the story...Dexter is the dark passenger. He can't be 'human'.

Honestly, there is no fathomable way I can think of to end the series. Dex killing Deb, Deb killing Dex, a trial, Dex dying... i don't know.. the only one that KIND OF makes sense to me is Dex dying as a 'hero' to everyone, but Deb knowing the truth, and possibly another main character (Masuka comes to mind) but he keeps his mouth shut.

Deb takes in Harrison and raises him opposite of how Harry raised Dex (if that makes sense).

That's why I see death is the only way for Dexter to find peace or to be set free. I never expect him to stop killing so that's the only way I see for it to go. Debra being the one to end his life seems fitting.

I see both sides. It's just Deb won't be responsible for someones death... even though she wanted Hannah dead...

I can't make any legit series finale predictions until we see what happens this season... its really a make or break situation IMO.... epic season finale, or piece of **** finale....

I was kidding about a season long trial. This ain't no Law and Order.

I see two endings:

1. Deb kills him
2. Dexter loses the DP, lives on

I think they should end the series Soprano style that leaves things open ended.'I don't wanna see Dex die, nor do I want to see him caught.

It should end with a fade to black, followed by Masuka's creepy laugh.
