I'm on the finale of Season 1. I saw

"Rudy" as the Ice Truck Killer

coming a mile away. They should've had a few more characters being hinted as the killer during the lead up to the reveal so there were multiple possibilities. It was just SO obvious haha.

Otherwise, great first season. I hear the seasons get better and better. This true?

Season 2 is my personal favorite... 3 is decent... 4 is awesome... 5 is decent...6 is crap...7 is back to greatness.

Still mandatory just absolute ****. 3 really blows too but personally I really liked 5. It gets a bad rep but I was riveted each week

6 is indeed crap, promising setup that is just wasted, the last 30 seconds are the most important part. However you might as well watch it to get the full story.

Would love to discuss with members who are discovering the show for the first time but more than likely you will see spoilers as we approach the next season in June. So tread cautiously.

Which character besides Dexter do you like the most?

its hard to say because some are only around for certain seasons. My favorite in while was season 7's Isaak.

of the main cast though, I'd say they all evolve in different ways and one minute you are annoyed with them then something happens. Captain Matthews always being mean to LaGuerta has my approval

Is Isaak Lithgow's character? I hear he steals that season.

Lithgow is in season 4. Isaak was Ray Stevenson in season 7. Me personally I think Johnny Lee Miller was hands down the best part of season 5.

The spoiler tag's much appreciated. Currently diggin' on Season 2. It's slow moving and dealing with Dex/Deb getting over the traumatic events of S1 which I appreciate. It'd be unrealistic if they were suddenly fine about the whole ordeal. The show's lack of realism in other departments peeved me at first but efforts like this show me the show has integrity when it comes to a desire to tell a good story so I like that a lot. I hope the big overarching baddie of S2 becomes more of a threat/part of the story soon though. Enough with these Mexican gang banger villains.

Don't worry .

The thing about the decent/single crap season... They explore a different aspect of the character of dexter...plus just crap .....all said and done, going into the final season... I'm happy and excited. If the series ends in expected dexter form, pretty amazing. The worst seasons are leagues above other series.

Oh and season 2 brings in a favorite character, frank Lundy.

Lundy is nothing special so far. Just an old cop in a suit. But knowing this show he could be end up being a guy who makes ice cream out of kids and has a tramp stamp of a Homie clown.

But he sure does love dangling those feet over the water while he eats his cream cheese sandwiches.

I loved that detail because as a kid I loved making cream cheese sandwiches.
