I didn't like Quinn at first but he grew on me. Don't worry about Lithgow though, he just gets better

Lithgow just
purposefully bumped into Lundy
....what is this guy thinking? XD

So far he's very suitably creepy but nothing to write home about. Don't worry I trust y'all. I'm sure he ramps it up somehow.

It only gets better. Lithgow made a character that genuinely creeped me out while watching.

Yeah he's a sick f***. Got to see more Lithgow ass than I thought I'd see in one year XD

Edit: DENVER. OMELETTE. DICED. TOMATOES.

Prado was the main antagonist. Skinner was just secondary and a tool. Cool MO but still he was weak. I agree that the relationship dynamics in season 3 were great. Miguel wasn't a bad character. Honestly, he's one of this show's better antagonists. The whole point of that season was daddy issues though. Every season's antagonists are meant to show a different side of Dexter and season 3 was all about him wanting to break away from Harry and the code. I'm excited for you though man, season 4 is magnificent.

The issue I had with Prada is there was never any tension for me. They second he and Dex started trying to be "bestest pals" I knew what would end up happening. The problem was that when Prada inevitably turned on Dex. I never saw Prada as a threat. I knew he wasn't as smart as Dexter, so I never had any tension in that relationship.

He seemed somewhat of a credible threat once he sat Dex up with The Skinner. He totally caught Dexter off guard there he was just ya know, dead by the time Skinner grabbed Dexter lol

Yeah, but even then I just never thought Miguel had the wiles to really get Dex. The Skinner move wasn't bad, but it didn't end up helping him. Trinity and Brian were the types that I saw having the intellectual prowess to go toe to toe with Dex. Miguel never measured up to that.

I don't really think Trinity was that clever. Not saying he wasn't but he just didn't seem like he was too smart of a man. I mean, Miguel was at least ADA and it does take some brains to get there. I get what you're saying though. Honestly though I don't think any character on this show ever has been shown to be too credible of a threat to Dex. Honestly I think some of the best villains this show has ever seen were the weekly kills of Dexter's.

Brian was the only one who could go toe to toe with Dexter. Period. He owned his ass the whole season. Trying to kill Deb was the one thing that stopped him from 'beating' dexter.

and before anyone says Trinity was on Dexters level... dont forget
Dex had him whenever he wanted.

The spoiler tags are much appreciated.

Just got to the reveal of
Trinity having a family
. That sick mutha f***ah.

Not only that but Trinity was a totally emotionally stunted person. As they developed him more and more showing more of his erratic behavior it becomes quite obvious that he isn't too cunning. Actually, Trinity's spree went on so long really just on pure dumb luck. It's actually quite a stretch how Lundy got on his trail. Just based solely on the seemingly different pathologies between kills. Of course he went on for over 30 years doing things how he did. And, it wasn't because he was smart or cunning it was basically just because he was such a disturbed person.

there is really a sympathy towards the character.

Dude you are flying through the seasons. I freaking wish I could do that. the week long wait for some episodes was a ****ing a**h***.

Luckily, I've had the pleasure of watching Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and Walking Dead (up until this second half of S3) whenever I pleased.

Curse this breaking bad break and Hank's 10 month long crap of doom.

I feel different about shows back to back vs week to week. While watching week to week you really get to soak things in. Back to back stuff starts to blur together a bit. I'm the type of person that can sit and watch 10+ hours in a row if I don't have much to do. I once watched all of season 3 of Lost in one sitting and I finished The Shield in like 10 days. When some things suck me in so much I just can't stop myself

i watched 2 episodes of the shows i mentioned roughly every 3 days. it was great :D

I watch way too much tv. It's actually advanced to the point that I basically consider it an addiction. I gotta fiction addiction lol, is that a thing?

it is now. and is one of the few great addictions :hehe:

Yeah the wait is getting unbearable. Haha.

And yeah Dexter's definitely become an addiction. I hope the seasons that pale in comparison to Season 4 don't let me down too much. This season really is quite good and the strong "antagonist" along with the juggling family life theme are the keys to that methinks.

truth be told, season 6 is the only real weakness... but the ideas are acceptable. season 7 does one amazing thing... brings a series from 'completely lost its flare' to 'and here.... we.....GO'

Is this thread just me talking to myself now?

Just finished Season 4. As sorta bland as
Rita
was as a character they did NOT deserve to go like that. I admittedly teared up a bit.

To quote M. Night Syamalan... WHAT A TWEEST!!!

Damn son. That season was amazing.
