The episode was pretty good, apart from a few things (like why the hell would Dexter risk leaving Saxon there for Deb)? Aside from doing a good thing for her career and from the fact that he doesn't feel his need to kill, still WHY RISK IT?!? Also, the marshall didn't even saw it coming, kinda disappointing, considering you'd think he is supposed to @ least have some special training.
I am a bit excited for the finale, but to sum it up, aside from some stupid writting this season, a problem with it was also the fact that the writers placed so many stories and characters. I mean take Zack for example, we had this "new Dexter" thing going on with him (not a fan of the story, but just saying..) then suddenly... BOOM! He dies. Why would Saxon even kill him since Zack was a suspect and Quinn even thought he might be the brain surgeon! And ofc some other things were wrong too, but regardless, I enjoyed the season and didn't find it as awful as some say. On the other hand, I do like Dexter's development, I really do, apart from some stupid decisions he took, I like the fact that he is very different from the monster he used to be back in season 1!
Idk how much I'd give it, maybe a 7/10. Season 7 was better, but that wasn't up there with S1-4 either.
