I haven't watched it yet but I came in here anyways the story has so disinterested me to spoilers. No one posted anything major so I'm assuming nothing major happened, or rather nothing unexpected that wasn't previously spoiled.
nothing major happened?

deb got shot in the stomach by Saxon and he also killed that blonde detective guy tracking down Hannah

pretty major

As with every episode this season... it happened in the last 5 minutes. Nothing major happened in the other 45 minutes. Especially penultimate episode of a series major.

The last part of my post: that wasn't previously spoiled. ;)

disagree to say nothing happen is a flat out lie

- saxon gave dexter an ultimanum to leave or he will kill his whole family
- they took a dna swab of saxon so now miami metro know he is vogel's son
- deb's ex boss now actively hunting down hannah
- dex broke into his apartment and leaked murder videos to police so they now know he is a killer and know he killed zack

on top of deb getting shot and the us marshall being killed

I think you still might be missing exactly what he means...

what exactly did i miss lol he said nothing happened but last 5 minutes which is not true plenty of plot developments occurred tonight

you guys may dislike or even hate this series

it is not my fav. either and series has had a quality decline but dont be so blind to the facts plenty of stuff happened tonight

He said nothing happened or nothing happened that hadn't been spoiled. And the latter is true, all the stuff that happened was spoiled beforehand, and Teelie assumed that's why no one was talking about anything shocking, since a lot of people looked at spoilers in here earlier.

Exactly. I just finished watching it myself and nothing that wasn't already known (to those who saw the now confirmed spoilers) happened that was worthwhile. The biggest "non-spoiler" was when Saxon attempted a peace-offering to Dexter whilst trying to buy his condo. Everything else was known if you had seen the spoilers.

As in, everything we read so far is true. There were no surprises and the leaker of the information has not been ********ting us this entire time and nothing major or important was excluded from those spoilers.

Okay good point. I'd just argue that whilst those arguably big things happened they weren't done in a particularly exciting way.

Absolutely everything was done with poor exposition dialogue which pretty much described what the characters were doing as they were doing them.

Then I guess some of you screwed yourself by looking at spoilers. I had no idea any of that **** was gonna happen.

I guess. I sort of lost interest in this season about halfway through, so it didn't matter a whole lot to me. Had this not been the last season, I think I may have stopped watching, honestly. It started out well enough, but now, eh.

The episode was pretty good, apart from a few things (like why the hell would Dexter risk leaving Saxon there for Deb)? Aside from doing a good thing for her career and from the fact that he doesn't feel his need to kill, still WHY RISK IT?!? Also, the marshall didn't even saw it coming, kinda disappointing, considering you'd think he is supposed to @ least have some special training.

I am a bit excited for the finale, but to sum it up, aside from some stupid writting this season, a problem with it was also the fact that the writers placed so many stories and characters. I mean take Zack for example, we had this "new Dexter" thing going on with him (not a fan of the story, but just saying..) then suddenly... BOOM! He dies. Why would Saxon even kill him since Zack was a suspect and Quinn even thought he might be the brain surgeon! And ofc some other things were wrong too, but regardless, I enjoyed the season and didn't find it as awful as some say. On the other hand, I do like Dexter's development, I really do, apart from some stupid decisions he took, I like the fact that he is very different from the monster he used to be back in season 1!

Idk how much I'd give it, maybe a 7/10. Season 7 was better, but that wasn't up there with S1-4 either.

Take what Tron Bonne said below me. If I hadn't read the spoilers before and were this not the last season, I would have quit watching already and given up on it.

Now there's only one episode left of a once great series that this season has lost any connection to outside the name and its characters.

I do like the fact that dexter doesn't need to kill anymore. the code worked and all, but I am not sure that would actually be possible in real life. I thought serial killers were found to be majorly chemically unbalanced in real life.

In reality most of this series would be impossible. Seperately, yes all of it could work for different people but combined I don't think it's possible for one person to be able to be Dexter and not have it implode on them.

Every week, I'm amazed at how this show just keeps getting worse. It's transformation is now complete; it's a flat out awful show now. Were this not the end, I'd jump ship for good. I'd explain and break down what I didn't like about this episode, but it would take so damn long.

If you watch Dexter expecting a slapstick comedy, it's actually pretty good.

Did the writers forget that Sylvia and Miguel never had kids? When she mentioned downsizing and focusing on the kids I was like "Huh?"

Probably talking about Ramon's kids. But with these current writers, who the hell knows.

So after half a season of Dexter repeating over & over & over & over....& over that he had to kill Saxson. He gets to the point & doesnt do it?

Why is this such a big deal? He left the Arsonist Alive. He left Hannah Alive, He left Zach alive. Whoopdee doo!!!

when was the last time dexter killed anyone? like 2 months ago?

a show about a serial killer who doesn't really kill anymore... 40 years of being a psychopath, but hey I am fine now thanks to some blonde girl i met last year

true...

"Miami Metro and the FBI have put on a manhunt for a blonde haired woman."

"Nah, I don't need to dye my hair."
