Horror Dexter - Part 6

Really liking the cast so far, with the actors for Dexter, Masuka, and Batista being spot on. Deb and Harry are also great, even though it’s weird to compare Remar to Slater.

Not enough SMG in the show yet either.

And episode five has just become my favorite of the season so far, with Patrick Gibson feeling the most like Michael C. Hall during a particular scene that you'll see when you watch the episode.

Always been a big Dexter fan. With basically seasons 1-4 being the show for me. After that I can kind of take it or leave it. The final season and the series finale though I can definitely leave it. Absolute trash.

So when New Blood came around I was super skeptical. I still haven’t watched New Blood, but I do know how it ends. So my girlfriend and I decided to watch Original Sin. Wanted to see what they would do with a prequel. She is also a big fan and shares basically the same thoughts as me on the series as a whole.

We've only watched the first two episodes but we are glad we decided to watch because we are both loving it so far. It really captures those early seasons of Dexter. Very promising and surprisingly enjoyable.

Pretty decent for me so far as well. :)

Just got caught up to the fourth and fifth episodes of Dexter Original Sin. They seem to get better each week. Seeing LaGuerta was great, same with seeing Joe Pantoliano and how Dexter interacts with him.

Also laughed at Dex getting high off the pot brownies! :funny:

The ending between Dexter and Harry was also unexpected.

Wouldn’t mind another season of OS, tbh.

What I loved about that scene is that it would've been so easy and expected for Deb to just blow up at Dexter for eating something that was hers. It's Deb, so it wouldn't be unexpected.

But instead, it became a great bonding moment between the two, one of the few that we've seen them have in this series so far, which was nice.

I just saw this on a YouTube comment but James Martinez who plays young Angel also played Gus doomed love Max on Breaking Bad…. MIND BLOWN.

I was really sceptical to a prequel of Dexter, as I think there's way too much prequels that often are quite pointless. But I have to say that I've really enjoyed this so for. Like mentioned above, it reminds me of the early good seasons of the original show.

I also think the actors for these younger versions of the characters are pretty spot on.

Well, Michael, as long as that ride has a satisfactory ending this time, we're fine.

While I still don't like the idea of essentially undoing the end of New Blood- coupled with Clyde Phillips saying at the time that yes, Dexter is dead- I'd be lying if I said that Original Sin didn't make he at least slightly optimistic for Resurrection. I'm bracing myself to be disappointed, but hoping for the best.
