The tone down versions aren't that bad for CBS I have to admit. As much as I like Dexter and how it is on Showtime, it's just as fine the way CBS is showing it.

It's quite amazing how they've been able to keep the quality of the show intact. I think everyone is really impressed. I'm glad it's opening Dexter up to a whole new audience.

Does anyone have the numbers for Sunday's episode? Would appreciate it.

Yeah, the fact that people who don't have Showtime and can now watch it on CBS is great.

yea id like to see sundays numbers as well...now that the oscars and Knight rider are outta the way, i expect awesome numbers for dexter the next 10 sundays.

damn right! Rocker22 made it. good stuff

on a new note....Dexter is spreading out! ive had friends saying 'wow man, this **** is crazy, i wish i had showtime'...

thats a made up quote, but it basically describes and summarizes what my friends and others have said to me since dex aired on CBS....

i have a feeling this show is gonna take the world by storm soon. nothing better then showing peoples inner feelings in a way everyone denies having.

Yeah, I think the show brings out our evil side, lol. :hehe: I've gotten two friends of mine to watch Dexter.

it brought out more then my evil side....IMO, its amazing how many emotions and thoughts actually occured to me when watching this for the first time...and NO not the murdering :)... but dexter goes through some **** and its crazy how your own life can relate to it.

I have a question for Dexter afficianadoes. :) Are they showing the CBS versions in the exact same order as Showtime? Because so far they have only shown two episodes, but sometimes it feels like we've 'walked in' on a season already in progress. I don't mind that, actually. It's clever if that is what they have done.

Also, do they ever delve more in to Dexter's background? They've briefly touched on the desire to kill when he was younger, and how his foster dad noticed it and channeled it toward the bad guys. But so far they haven't really explained why that one guy hates him so much (forgot his name, bald black guy) and why his Lt. is so infatuated with him. Just wondering if these things come up more as the series progresses, or if they just leave them out there and we are to make of them what we will. Plus, I'm curious if there is ever any explanation regarding his desire to kill.

Thanks.

casey, just you wait, youll learn all about dexter....

Read the books if you aren't worried about spoilers. They go into a bit more detail. Actually a lot more.

well the Doakes hates him because he senses hes a bad guy...senses somethings off about him...and laguerta is infatuated with him because hes charming and handsome, no big reasons for either of them so far.

Happy Birthday, Cory. :)

I watched the first two episodes that aired on CBS. I'm hooked. This show is great and I'm going to pick up season one on DVD next week.

:yay:

Good call. I'm glad CBS is getting Dexter more exposure, but it really needs to be viewed unedited.
