granted she has reasons to be *****y...but jesus she is ridiculous... the whole first few episodes when she didnt do **** for the baby. it was dexter all the time, i mean she doesnt even work yet she had dexter getting up all the time and stuff? then she cheats on him.

if i were him id be like ya your god damn right i kept my apartment, i needed a place i could go to get some freaking sleep since your nagging ass wont do anything for our baby!

I believe Rita takes care of the baby during the day, doesn't she? She probably has a more flexible schedule as a realtor.

We need to remember that Rita hasn't cheated on Dexter. She was part of a kiss that was initiated by the nextdoor *****er who was told after it happened that he was in the wrong.

The only nit pick I have about the whole thing is that Rita hasn't told Dexter about it yet. Though I say yet, because I think she didn't want to spoil the dinner/

Im really tired of all this *****ing about Rita. Yeah, she can be a **** sometimes, end of story, who cares? There's plenty of goodness in the show to not worry so much about any nagging of hers, besides that, I'm sure any *****y-ness from her is just fuel for Dexter's Dark Passenger fire. Also, I find Deb way more annoying than any other character on the show.

I really wanna see tonight's episode, but I won't see it until tomorrow!

I got into this show recently, and enjoy it. I think season 4 has definitely been an improvement over 2 and 3, with really strong writing for and performances by Arthur and Dexter.

The only thing I dislike about this show is that the supporting cast seem to have absolutely nothing to do that's relevant to the show. A serial killer could wipe out a good third of the cast and they wouldn't be missed. And it's not a very large cast, either.

Agreed. In case people haven't noticed, Rita's *****iness is a plot device to serve as a foil to Dexter. The show wouldn't be very exciting if Dexter went around killing people unopposed. Rita's *****iness is one of the many things that makes Dexter three dimensional and seperates him from just a slasher villain like Jason or Michael Myers.

As for this episode...

I sort of wish they just did a two hour finale as this episode was pretty much pure set up for next week, but as far as set up episodes go, this was great.

The final scene was chilling. The way Arthur strut right up to Dexter and picked up his ID tag while Dexter just looked on like a deer in head lights...Lithgow's presence in that scene was out of this world.

Can't wait for next week.

I'd agree with you on the foil thing if I considered her *****y. She's a mother of 3 whose husband--whose main reason for marrying her was to look like less of a serial killer--is never around. It's like nobody here has any idea what an actually *****y woman in that situation would be like. Because Rita could be SO much worse.

yea...this is just like the first seasons last 2 episodes...the excitement. for season 2 it was very exciting, season 3 wasnt so much... finale wise... but jesus this season just may be tied with season 1 now.

Just got into the show, finished the first two seasons. Awesomeness! Can't wait until I get my season three. Great TV show. Awesome characters.

This season clearly rivals Season 1.

Yea this is the best season since 1. Though all of the seasons have been superb. It is intense. Lithgow's performance as Trinity is just wonderfully done.

"Hello....Dexter Morgan." That got my neck hair up on edge.

this makes up for the season 3 which wasn't rubbish but was no where near as good as 1 and 2.
