In the first book, Laguerta does die. So again, I don't know what will happen.

YES! We are a go for season 6! Hopefully, this will be the last season and they wrap up everything. I would hate for this show to drag on like 24.

This season started off weak, but with the last 3 or 4 episodes, its been way exciting. I feel like the writers have made a few mistakes this season (dex not going way out into the ocean to dispose of the body, c'mon), but Lumen's addition is such a great new layer to the show.

I really hope Deb finds out about the dark passenger by this season's end. I dunno, I would love to have an entire season, season six, to explore the ramifications of that.

I wouldn't mind if as a cliffhanger, Chase kidnaps Lumen and flys off with her (there was a plane in the previews); she becomes his new 'blood vial' victim...Season 6 is Dex tracking them/her down.

My guesses:

The kidnappings will be Harrison by Chase and the second kidnapping we've already seen in the preview. It was [blackout]Chase taking the blood vial woman.[/blackout]

The deaths will be the nanny (collateral damage of Chase kidnapping Harrison and will lead to Lumen taking over the job next season) and Chase.

It's said that the two kidnappings will be 'easy prey' now obviously Harrison springs to mind however I think that rather than Harrison it will be Cody and Astor they are out of Dexter's reach right now and with there grandparents. Pretty easy if you ask me. Plus I think they will show up before the seasons end why not as bait. Chase certainly know about Dexter.

The two deaths.. I have a feeling that one will be either Chase or Liddy because we need one more for the final episode. The cringe one - Quinn.

Quinn dying wouldn't make me cringe. At all. And I actually kind of like him, as opposed to most on here.

Liddy's definitely gotta die, though. Two reasons: 1) he knows way too much about Dex, and 2) I don't think Peter Weller does a whole lot of regular TV appearances, so I doubt he'd stick around for another season.

Liddy or Chase needs to die this episode. Leaving them both for the finale is too much. Maybe Chase (while targeting Dexter) will stumble across Liddy and kill him? I dunno. But it can only be one and the other cannot be Quinn as we've been told it will be one male and one female victim for both the kidnapping and the murder. So my money is on the nanny dying as collateral damage.

I'm thinking Chase won't kill anyone directly. He seems like more of a manipulator than an outright killer.

True. I can't see Liddy being the one who dies this week. Dexter doesn't even know about Liddy yet. It would be hard to have Liddy go from an unknown factor to being on Dex's table in the span of one hour. I think Liddy might very well end up bugging the room where Dexter chooses to kill Chase, video taping it, and the finale focusing on that.

I think Liddy will be the big finale. He has the greater potential for a game-changing cliffhanger, after all. The "main" villain has usually been offed in the penultimate episode, leaving the big changes for next season to be introduced in the final episode.

Very true. Part of me wants to say that Quinn will be the male who dies....but I can't see it. It would just be too mean to Deb.

Haha, her track record for men is really quite s***ty at this point. Bay Harbor Butcher first season (who later gets killed), almost-Doakes second season (who then got killed), Lundy third season (eventually left her and then got killed), Anton fourth season (the one genuinely decent guy she dated, but he got cut up and then she ran away from him out of confusion over Lundy), and now Quinn (possibly dying this season).

What? Since when? Maybe Miguel, but I'm pretty sure every other one has been killed in the finale.

I've always felt that Dex having a son is an odd fit for the show, but he had Rita to take the lion's share of the responsibility. When she was killed, i was worried the show would suffer;Dex being a single father and all, but they've made it work this season. As much as i like Harrison, i wouldn't mind seeing Dex from season 1, in the next season.

Well, Julia Stiles is another big name. Those actors don't usually stick around on TV shows for more than a season. Keith Carradine's the only big name who came back for more after his season on Dexter so far. It's possible Stiles could be #2, but I wouldn't really count on it.

the whole single father, harrison, cody, astor thing...has been too small this season, so i expect something big happenign with harrison and the whole single father thing.

Is Peter Weller busy? How about John Lithgow? I don't know why big actors don't bother to stick around, but I don't think it's because of their otherwise overwhelming workload. Maybe their salaries are too high to keep on for more than one season at a time or something.

That is my prediction.
