Even if he is dead and Travis is imagining it, they shouldn't be showing things such as him picking up a cell phone to answer his call. I get that if Travis believes he's real than he'll imagine him doing that but they didn't have to show that.

why not? It wouldn't make much sense if Travis was talking to someone, but we only see one side of the conversation

so im curious did
Brother Sam(Mos Def) die?
I have a feeling he will come back as a ghost.

He is literally on life support and I suspect whether he lives or not is going to end up being tied to how Dexter handles the shooter. Not that it would actually matter but it would tie in that if Dexter kills the man, Brother Sam dies. If he captures or helps capture him, Sam will live. The connection would be Dexter attempting to follow the path of Sam into not killing.

I just wanna see Dexter do some killin' this episode. It's been way too long since I've had my catharsis. :argh:

Oh MY GOD. This episode is hands down the best this season and next week looks like it'll top it.

Oh and
Biney's Back
I love the smile Dexter had at the end it sent a chill down my spine lol.

This was an awesome episode...

Can't wait to see how Brian is gonna clash with Harry. I always thought Brother Sam was gonna last through the season where he would slip back and Dexter would need to take him out. Him dying through the halfway point was a bit of a surprise but I enjoyed how it was handled.

Also I'm so glad to see the writers gave Deb some more character moments instead of just paring her up with whomever on the show.

Gellar asked Travis to pay the lady, and is also in public, when he is supposed to be hiding, due to him being a serial killer. I'm pretty sure he isn't real....

Really good episode the ending was crazy I also like drunk ladys man Quinn
the next episdoe looks just has intense.

best episode of the season so far! i was hoping that Brother Sam would survive and would kind of serve as an outlet for the light within Dexter. his death was handled very well though. and the ending was excellent :awesome:

i gotta say though, i like Quinn a whole lot better now as a pot smoking, over drinking playboy :woot:

We also know now that Travis is a talented artist when his sister tells the kids at school when they are painting. If I'm not mistaken we have seen Gellar painting on a few occasions???

Not to mention he works as a restorer at an art museum.

Also, does anyone else find Travis' relationship with his sister to be just a bit creepy?

The more the season goes on, the more I find just about everything creepy about Travis.

feel bad for quinn.

Given I have not seen this episode.. but you feel bad for Quinn ? Why?
Has not Quinn banged multiple women this season? Nothing to feel bad about there.

because he's obviously hurting about deb

Quinn turned into a raging *****ebag, which suits him. I like it.

I was kinda hoping we'd get a Brother Sam ghost to "haunt" Dexter like Harry does. but we kinda got the exact opposite.

That's what I figured you were talking about.

But really, hard to feel sorry for a guy when he goes out and bangs any woman that will let him.

If he was hurting, he should voice his feelings to Deb. Hard to feel for his character when he acts so Juvenile.

If he kept it in his pants and kept on trying to romance Deb but she kept rejecting him or if he silently went about his job but Deb went around getting it on with other guys to his dismay, then ya I would feel sorry for him.

BTW I still think he killed that Asian Cop that was bothering Deb about him :cwink:

That was hilarious. I was also glad to see the gal had enough sense to walk out on him when she saw what he was up to. :p

Brother Sam would make no sense. The ghosts are not literal ghosts but rather representations of Dexter's need to kill (visually manifested for the audience). Sam would make no sense as he represents the same to Dexter as Harry. Brian on the other hand represents Dexter's rejection of control. The only way that I could see Sam being Dexter's "dark passenger," is if Dexter decided to give up killing entirely.

wait? what?

and he has voiced his opinions to deb, they are both juvenile children who have equally slept around. Quinn's just banging any woman he can get his hands on to make deb jealous ever since she rejected him.

I dunno just feel for the guy, i guess. Being someone doesn't mean **** if it isn't someone you care about.

I was glad Angel hit him though. He deserved it I can't wait to see his embarrassment next episode.

It was good that Dexter didn't let Nick live. Dex was close to actually let Nick go and respecting Sam's last wish but the chance blew when Nick started to laugh so he deserved it, anyway if he was still alive he could kill other people and it'll be on Dex's conscious. The darkness inside Dexter has been on a leash but now that Brian is there as his moral compass instead of Harry it'll be interesting to see let loose. Brian standing there and the smile on Dex's face, that scene was off the hook and delivered so well and it's thanks to Michael C. Hall's performance.
