Dexter

My gut tells me Deb is going to find out about Dexter this season.

My gut was telling me the same thing around this time last season. I'm not sure, at this point it's just going to seem odd for Deb or someone within the department to not find out, but at the same time, that revelation is going to be a major status quo changing event that's going to most likely escalate the series to some type of situation that will draw to a conclusion, so I can see them drawing that out for as long as they can until they feel they're ready to start ending the series. That could be now, though, not sure if they've set any solid frame of ending for the series.

Do we think that is the end of Trinity's boy? Maybe have him kill a bunch of people down the road in another season and Dexter feel like he could of stopped him before?

i think gellar is going to use travis sister as the '****e'

This was a good possibility ever since we've seen her, and most likely in the end Travis will complete his transformation by willing killing/sacrificing her. Good contrast to Dexter and his relationship with Deb.

i really think gellar is alive...and in travis head. it would really be quite a twist... he is alive and doing certain things, but has a psychological hold on travis to also just be imaginary at times.

It would be such a cheat if that were the case, the writers could just insert him in whenever its convenient.

holy ****, two more? They might be pushing their luck, but I love the world of Dexter, so here's hoping they can pull it off.

I certainly hope this show doesn't jump it by then.

nice! just hope the quality doesn't go down

this season has thus far been better than last season for sure. just hope the finale isn't disappointing like last season. such a great build up, but the end felt so...meh

I read that these will be the final 2 seasons. So, at least the writers know where they are heading and can start the process of ending the show.

2 seasons more after this one would be a good run for the entire series, in that case they can weave together the last two seasons to make it as good as possible.

Showtime pretty much has no choice but to keep this show going. They have no other hit shows really. Weeds is on its way out, Camelot was a bust, Californication is just mehh, the only other thing they've got for the foreseeable future is Shameless. They need a big show like Dexter to support it.

They didn't have Camelot, it was Starz and I could see Shameless being as good as the UK series. Showtime have Homeland and that's one of the best shows that have premiered this fall and it's already picked up for a second season.

The only problem is by keeping this show going is that the show will suffer writing wise by delaying the inevitable of Deb finding the truth about Dexter, it'd be a major miss of potential if they're not doing that. However the cast has been improving chemistry wise but most of the time they won't get good materials to work with.

Ah yeah that's right about Camelot, my bad. But yeah, as much as i love this show, 8 seasons is really pushing it. My personal favorite television show of all time, '24' ran for 8 seasons and that show definitely should have ended with season 5. It just got really stale afterwards. I would hate to see this happen to Dexter.

Would be great if they bring this serial killer you all speak off! They have time, in 2 more season... I just hope this amazing show won't lose quality when it comes to writting, I don't want them to stretch too much.

i have a theory/opinion on what will happen when they decide to finally end Dexter. How Harry taught dex and gave him a set of rules to follow. What we have yet to find out is he did the same with deb. Telling her everything about dexter and giving her a set of rules to follow if dexter ever stopped following Harry's rules. Harry was a cop and could not leave this world without having a fail safe in place. Or i at least hope this is the direction they go in. Does anyone else have a theory on how or if dexter will meet his demise??

I really like this theory a lot.

I agree, that's a damn good theory and I wouldn't mind either if they went with that.

I dunno, after watching today's new episode I am even more convinced that Geller is NOT a real person and is all in Travis' head.

When Travis looked up at the balcony and Dexter went up and the guy was nowhere in sight, I don't think he was even there. Especially when Dex almost fell through the floor up there. Geller would have fallen as well. Just sayin'...

I might've missed something tonight. How did Dex find out about that priest with dementia? I feel like the show came back from commercial and he just had his name. I couldn't remember how he got it.

Still nothing conclusive on whether he is real or not. Its looking very likely Deb is gonna find out about Dexter this season or at least suspect something. I wonder what that whole thing with La Guerta is about.

I don't see him not falling through the floorboards as proof he can't be real. Although I thought they would've done more with Travis' sister, her just being killed off camera like that seemed like a waste of character moment.

He got the name off of one of the drapes around [BLACKOUT]Travis' dead sister[/BLACKOUT] then he used some search engine the intern showed him.

ohhh, right. thanks, Liam.

I guess I thought that name would lead to like, a clothing store. So I guess I just didn't make the connection that it was the name of who is belonged to. I must've checked out for a few minutes while watching.
