Uh oh, an old guy in an authority position. Somebody better hose Debra down before she pounces.
So will there be a poll over what new cast member gets his life ripped to shreds from dating her?Brea Grant has signed up to appear in the new season of Dexter.
The actress confirmed that she has landed a recurring role in the show in a post on her blog.
"No spoilers," she teased. "But I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing me in a white labcoat."
Grant previously played Daphne in Heroes and has appeared in Friday Night Lights and CSI: Miami. She has also penned comic books focused on SuicideGirls and zombies.
Grant is the latest star to sign up for the new season of Dexter. Other actors who have already joined the show include Billy Brown, Mos Def, Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos.
Dexter is expected to return with new episodes on Showtime later this year.
season 5 kinda sucked. season 4 sucked half the time...season 3 was ok. hopefully they match season 1 and 2 this year.
however season 5 would have been so much better if Lumens character was portrayed by a good actress.

Julia was great as Lumen
it's an awesome promo, but it makes Dexter seem too evil.
If it weren't for Harry's code he'd be no better than the people he wraps in plastic lmao anyways that monologue sounds like they're going back to season 1 Dex so I'm psyched, no more of this exploring repressed feelings nonsense. He is evil.If it weren't for Harry's code he'd be no better than the people he wraps in plastic lmao anyways that monologue sounds like they're going back to season 1 Dex so I'm psyched, no more of this exploring repressed feelings nonsense.
That's really the philosophical question underlying the entire show, that I don't think will ever be answered definitively: Is Dexter a truly distinct and sovereign human being who is self aware and practices a moral code, of sorts? Or is he nothing more than a trained animal (like a Pavlonian attack dog) who practices a moral code that is imposed on him through rote learning, but it actually unable to independently appreciate the reasons behind his moral code and unable to form one of his own?
I think Dexter started out as the latter, and that the show is about his journey to become the former. Whether he actually achieves it by the time the series ends is another big question.
