How would it make her anymore interesting by hooking up with Nyssa?

I don't know, but having her just walking into rooms yelling at people all the time isn't doing much for me.

She isn't yelling at people all the time though. But giving her a friendship with Nyssa will do her just fine.

Having Nyssa train her is great because it gives her a valid reason of how she became a badass as the Black Canary. She's basically getting the League training without the commitment, much like Thea was somewhat getting.

I just don't think she will want to learn to be a killer, if Nyssa chooses to go down that route.

Just admit you are secretly in love with her and accept it.

yeah well there will be conflict cause of the habit of Nyssa's that's all I'm saying. Nyssa one to go the death blow easily. Which isn't what they want & while Laurel needs the training but she's not seeking to be a assassin. she said she wants justice . Nyssa idea of justice....... epecially with oliver who will remember when said not to kill on the night of slades siege he killed his main hench woman that took QC from oliver in the first place.

now if she (Laural ) were doing to understand how assassin's think so she'd know how take them down when she comes up against them like a strategist or(FBI) profiler would do that would makes sense.

But that's not the case. we'll see how this turns out.

Actually Laurel's got a bit of "killer instinct" in her as well. She shot a man to death last season (and it's debatable whether or not she needed to take it that far). She deliberately tried to kill both Komodo and Malcolm this season and was just fortunate that Oliver took the bullet out of the gun beforehand (Komodo) and that Malcolm was taking the fight even remotely seriously.

It's actually one of my problems with this season. The characters keep going on and on about how Thea killing will "take a peace of her soul." Yet Laurel deliberately tries to kill at least two people, and nothing. The show barely addresses it and it's forgotten about just like that. Inconsistent writing, why yes it is.

I think what Roy and Laurel (although I like what she is doing now, I am more referring to somewhere down the line) and eventually Thea ( like Laurel, I am enjoying what she is doing now) need is enemies or a rival. Someone for them to go up against, rather than just being there to back up Oliver, beat low level thugs and then lose to the main villain of the week. It would certainly help their characters IMO and make them more interesting and also get people behind them more. I think having Deadshot as an enemy to Diggle has helped him and made him more interesting and given him some backstory as well as allow us to understand him more and want to root for him. Having episodes of these characters deal with their enemies like Diggle has in the Suicide Squad makes us care more about them and invest more in them. It is nice to see them step out on the field and stand on their own two feet and show that they are fine without Oliver.

With that said, I like Laurel a lot and have done since season 1 (even in season 2 I liked her) and I like Thea and Roy too (although not as much as Laurel atm) but I still think that at some point giving them their own long-term enemies/rivals rather than having them simply be there to assist Oliver would be a good thing.

I think there is a bit of a difference between trying to kill two bad guys who possibly killed your sister and killing your father. But Laurel has been down that road and has seen the error of her ways which is why she went to Thea and said the thing she said.

No, not when you're father is the biggest bad guy on this show right now, and used you to kill a friend. And honestly it wouldn't bother me if they were consistent about it. Don't constantly draw attention to it in one case while completely brushing it aside in the other, it doesn't work.

I have to agree with Loki the writing is off there when it comes to Laural . it's just not addressed as much as it should be at times it is bother some . I don't like looking and finding these issues ether. but I noticed weird stuff from later part of season 2. but this season it became more full blown.

This doesn't mean I don't like the show. when I find & point this stuff out I just want the show not to be questioned or dissed.

But there have been missteps & poor chose from the writers part with these mostly this season. it not totally down hill. but we know they could have done way better.

I really really really really really really really want that to happen.

I don't care if it feels forced and silly... this whole season has been awful anyway so they might as well just go for it because it will at least be fun to watch.

NOT EVEN BANGING HOT AS 2 SUNS NYSSA COULD MAKE THAT WATE OF SPACE INTERESTING:cmad:

I gotcha you both want lezbo action with in the show lol

seeing they dropped the trainer turned lover idea with grant which I'm happy they avoided. I'm sure the writers which still want to do that on some level will still be trying it some how later with another trainer & seeing she Black canary never had that with Ted grant (father figure man that known to have raise i some case's ) or Richard the dragon it's was just master student or father figure. the writer don't understand the word platonic.

Gotta say ever since joining Team Arrow she's hasn't really been that annoying to me and my dislike for her has dropped to pretty much almost zero.

Still hate that Sara was killed off.

No me gusta. Hopefully the writers don't go there. Laurel and Sara already have shared way to much, Oliver/Canary titles, no need for Laurel to get involved with Nyssa when her sister already has.

This. Just no. Can't two females just be friends without there being homoerotic subtext?

Laurel lost her sister and Cpt Lance is pissed at her. Nyssa lost her lover and had her birthright revoked by her father. Keep it as that. And I honestly can't wait for Oliver and Laurel to reconcile and eventually hook up again. Maybe late season 4...

I hope Laurel and Oliver don't get back together. They're better off as friends in my opinion.

In regards to Nyss and Laurel a romance between them, it could work if it was built up slowly over the course of a whole season at least. But a friendship could also work.

Yeah, Ollie has Diggle and Roy as dude friends, why can't Laurel have Nyssa as just a friend? There doesn't have to be (nor do I think it would work for there to be) any romantic involvement. And I don't even think this friendship will last long; Nyssa can't stay on their side forever.

Yeah, personally...I would prefer for this show not to eventually sink to the depths that "Two and a Half Men" did when it comes to the promiscuity of its core characters, where everyone goes around having slept with each other at least once.

And considering that this is still a show about supposed larger than life heroes, I especially don't want to see everyone needlessly hooking up with each other (for flings or for other stuff) just because they're both considered attractive.

It's bad enough that Oliver has been presented in the way that he has from the last two seasons. Granted, I know that Oliver in the comics is a playboy, but I think even he had limits to how far he'd go...and he certainly didn't cheat on BC with her younger sister.

I think given we are in 2015 there's no need to worry too much, it's only sex and the show doesn't show anything.

No Laurel/Nyssa romantic pairings, please.

Well, I can't really see it going quite as far as Two and a Half Men. As far as Ollie in the comics, he was a playboy type, but Black Canary was his true love. Yeah, he might have cheated on her, but Comics Oliver did seem to have higher standards than the TV one. Pre Crisis at least.
