I love how she just rocked up this episode to "boom, you got lawyered *****" her dad.

I wonder if there's enough time left for a Black Canary centric episode?

I think it's better that she stays in Starling City.

We know she's training with Nyssa, who is in Starling City and, probably the vigilantes activities will be low because of what Lance is doing, so she'll have a lot of time for training, she said already that Nyssa is very enthusiastic (I take that as a hard teacher) wich would result in Laurel being on a good fighting level by next season, like she was on the fight club promo, or even better. Plus, Cisco will give her the Canary Cry, last episode was hinted that there is meta-humans around that were not turned into metahumans by the particle accelerator accident.. she could have a good arc and action next season.

Well, practicality hasn't made Nyssa or Ollie start using firearms instead of arrows, so I can live with Laurel using a police baton. They can't all use the same weapons, that'd be dull.

Who wants Black Canary to use a bow? No on. Nyssa/Arrow know how to use their weapons, they are more or less masters at it, so it isn't about practicality.

I just want her to trade it in for a better weapon that doesn't remind me that all they have her do with it is hit people constantly with it.

Well, I can't quite tell if Guggenheim has a problem with Black Canary or Katie Cassidy, but it's obvious He's the problem, Not the character the actress or the story. It's a weird situation.

One of the problems for me is that I don't feel like I'm getting Dinah Lance the Black Canary, I'm getting Rachel Dawes the Black Canary. And sure, they haven't adapted anyone 100% from the comics. Pretty much every character went through changes. Some more drastic than others. Then they give us the Canary everyone wanted. Or at least most. Only to get rid of her and give Laurel what amounts to the leftovers of the Canary character.

I feel like this season they have written Laurel closer to Dinahs personality, but whoever thought it would be a good idea to split up a characters traits between 2 characters, should issue a serious apology.

I think at the beginning of the show, they didnt want a female character who could outshine Oliver but they wanted that popular character/love interest to draw in the audience. Then come 2nd season they didn't want to give the character that upgrade to Black Canary so they just introduce a new one.

What they fail to realize is that not everyone needs an island to become a superhero/vigilante, Dinah Laurel Lance is one of those characters. She should've been a kickass fighter from the start with Oliver chasing after her and her being above the petty drama.

You can't believe how refreshing it was to watch the whole 13 Episodes of Daredevil, and not have a love interest that only exists for the drama.

Oh but I can lol. I don't want to compare the two, but DD has a lot of elements of what I want(ed) them to do with Arrow.

Y'know. This sounds about right. If Arrow ever gets to the point of Oliver pursuing Laurel again she should mos def be playfully hard to get and it should be melodrama free. No more teen angst please, thanks.

Why can't Laurel be written more like she was in Flash? It was weird seeing her smiling and not having to be brood/be sad/mad/worried.

And I am guessing that they cut a scene since there were pictures of Black Canary in the street with Cisco.
