🌎 Discussion: Civil Rights, Affirmative Action, Critical Race Theory, Systemic Inequality, and Racism - Part 4

World News
Don't get me wrong im not saying anyone who's derogatory things towards you. Anyone screaming or being abusive im not including.

But there has got to be plenty of guys and women who live in (*insert poor US state or states that voted Republican*) who've identified with Trump when he was running for the sheer reason they think that their town/city may benefit under him. And if those people who aren't racist or homophobic see they are being lumped in as the modern equivalent of the KKK for simply wearing a hat its not going to do anything but push people further apart.

Well the states that voted overwhelmingly for Trump do have the highest Google searches for racist phrases and jokes.

People who voted for Trump for economic purposes only (which I think are a very small minority) likely aren't wearing the MAGA hats. The hats are reserved for the real psychos.

Here's the thing - the good people who fell for Trump ALREADY DEFECTED in the first two years.

Sure there may be some that have good in their hearts and can still reform, but most? Hold to the same bigoted beliefs Trump does and I have no issue with lumping all of them together.

If it speaks like a vile Confederate and acts like a vile Confederate - chances are beyond likely that it's a vile Confederate.

No apologies here.

lol, whatever puts you to sleep at night.

Don't worry man, I have no sympathy for the likes of Confederate Nazi monsters who for over two years readily showed each and every minority who they really are. First hand experience which includes death threats have shown me precisely who they are. No sleep lost here.

A MAGA hat is a much less offensive symbol than a swastika. It still offends people though because it is a symbol of a racist, sexist, homophobic movement that is almost entirely based on hate and fear.

lol, you seriously need to go outside into the real world. You have this completely distorted view of reality, and you keep making yourself angrier and angrier.

I actually love that they wear it to some degree.

It's like a flag they wave to all decent people that screams "I'm Confederate slime, stay away from me."

It really helps one get to know who they are.

You mean in the real world where hate crimes have statistically increased?

As per "real world" Trump supporters continue to scream "fake news" to everything that doesn't fit their view. So you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks they live in the real world.

I don't hate Trump supporters, I feel sorry for them and pray that they'll eventually find the light away from attacking everyone who isn't a white/straight/Christian and the need to call everything they don't like "fake."

In that sense, I hold a similar view towards them that MLK had towards Confederates back then. MLK didn't bother about who he'd offend either - hell, he even called liberals out as well.

Are you seriously telling a guy who just said that he's received death threats for who he is to get out in the real world?

I'm flabbergasted.

Thing is - minorities (and women) have lived with Confederates in this country for so long that come the end of adolescence or prior to that one develops seriously strong skin - that it's impossible to take Confederates seriously past a certain point (they all act the same way - it feels like watching television repeats whenever one appears).

lol, this thread. It's the same 4-5 people churning the same bigoted talking points, riling themselves up over and over again.

"flabbergasted"? :funny:

(1) White/straight/Christian/natural-born-citizen says something bigoted about anyone who isn't a white/straight/Christian/natural-born-citizen.

(2) Bigot gets called out for it.

(3) Bigot replies through screaming "you're the bigots!" or "freedom of speech!" or "triggered" or -

Rinse, repeat.

For anyone who thinks #1 is me calling out all white people - like Obama, my family's white (adopted) - even people saying "white devil" offends me due to that. It's only to differentiate between safe majority and minorities who are currently targeted by the government regime.

As stated @Elektra1 - it's like television repeats. Sometimes it's annoying, in this case though (personally) I find it amusing (it might be due to the mustache twirling cartoon av - which couldn't be more on-the-nose); I find whenever they verbally from a distance go over-the-top or extreme they quickly sound like satires. Years make it simply bounce off.

I could have used other words, but they would have been censored.

You sound like a jerk. AResistor is part of a visible minority and has real experiences of racism and you have the gall to tell him to get out in the real world? Get your head on straight.

lol, that literally has no bearing on any of the points. Again, just like the MAGA hat, you're creating this outrage, and expecting me to comply to your standards.

*but I'm sure you'll create a completely artificial idea, tie it to what I said, and become more outraged by it. You should also get out more.

You weren't making any sense before, and now you're making even less.

I'm flabbergasted.

I think someone is just bored and needs to get out more.

Let's dial it back on the personal insults, guys.
Nah, let 'em keep going.

They're trying to fight racism, and are now calling me an a**hole, by saying that it must be because I'm white. The irony is sooo delicious. :hehe:
