And that meathead Joe Rogan has one of the most popular podcasts in the nation

I’m still baffled by him. Last week he was questioning Trump and then all of a sudden he fully endorses him
Because he is easy to fool...a few dumb things from Musk and the guy is sold.
Rogan is famous for easily agreeing to his guests.
He was bound to endorse one of them.

And here is where i feel that the mindset was a mistake.
I was one who thought when the whole story came out that Rogan reached out to Harris, harris was right.
Afterall she was running for president and Rogan wanted a 3 hour interview in his studio with her...why should she do that instead of him coming to her for a one hour talk.
This is where i now think maybe it was arrogant to say no to him, considering the reach he has.
Maybe it was a mistake and could have helped Harris score some points.
Maybe this could have been a way to reach his large following and show up.

The Democratic Party website has no platform explicitly for men on their website but they do for others. That should’ve been changed years ago. Not doing the bare minimum.

What is the platform for men they need to have, in your opinion? I ask this because it makes sense why you need platforms for groups whose rights are constantly being threatened. But I don't know what exactly that platform "for men" is that isn't just, you know, the platform. Because the rights of men are not in jeopardy (men here intended to denote "for being men," as opposed to for example the rights of black men being jeopardized for being black).

I can't believe the popularity of that man. Absolutely ****ing nothing going on between those ears.

All I’m thinking about today is my son. He’s 2 months old and I’m afraid of how the world is going to look in a few years. My brain tells me everything will be alright in the end, but the anxiety/fear of the unknown is overwhelming.

I'd be scared, too, with a kid that young.:(

He's a rich man who's only concern is his wallet.
This is all voters. The Dems need to stop playing identity politics and trying for the moral high ground. Those issues don't and never win elections. Large groups of Latinos overwhelming held their noses and voted for a guy who calls them rapists and murderers because the economy was better from 2016 to 2020.

It sucks for women, POC, LGBTQ+, and other minorities that we cannot push policies to protect them, but the more pressing concern now is economic policies that puts money in everyone's pockets and provides them protection for when they get fired, sick, or old. Doing that will indirectly help and improve lives for the groups that are being used as scapegoats for society's current problems.

I understand that feeling, my girlfiend and i talk about having kids, and today i fear the future they would grow up in, the freedoms we had yesterday they will not have in January, my heart breaks for every little girl who looked at Kamala for hope and a promise of what they could be, only to wake up today and see those hopes shattered by men, how many girls today did we just scare for the rest of their lives so we can have cheap eggs

All you can do as a parent is do your best for your child. In the end, that's what you can control. Same for me, the wife, and my 2 girls. Just do the best you can and try to raise good people.

Same here. My girlfriend and I were thinking thinking this year we'd finally try to conceive and have a kid. But she was wanting to wait until after the election to see how things went. Now she's really scared about it and potentially contemplating that maybe to shelve it for now. The news story about that woman in Texas dying after getting rejected from 3 hospitals has really made an impression on her.

Looks like America has spoken.
No matter what one thinks of Trump, Kamala clearly had her own issues that were 'uge red flags. All these wealthy celebs making proclamations and championing her just wasn't a serious strategy, especially bringing out that ratchet Cardi B. Then, there's the fact that most people didn't find her authentic at all. In all honesty it was quite embarrassing. She did herself no favours. Her ranking of the popular vote speaks for itself. The people of America have spoken. Many Democrats switched up. Again, putting Trump's laundry list of unfavourable attributes aside, it clearly wasn't a deal breaker when the alternative was a woman who failed to resonate with the majority of every day people.

And it's a shame this is something people have to consider. I don't blame her for feeling that way. It's seriously some Handsmaid's Tale level stuff.

So how do you appeal to white men outside of economics without chasing off other voters?

Buy them a jet ski?

In all seriousness, I think its in the messaging. When you present a platform that provides bennies for all groups other than white guys your attempt at inclusion can be seen as exclusion. I think Bernie had the right idea by giving struggling white guys a villain other than immigrants and gays. A young charismatic outsider pol running against corporate America could have Trump style populist appeal.

I agree that we need to establish sound economic policies that move towards redistribution of wealth. One thing people don't realize is that, long term, wealth inequality leads to social instability.

And, BTW, being in So Cal, I know, have known, and have met a lot of Latinos and, believe me, most of them weren't holding their nose when they voted for Trump (for a few different reasons). One guy even said to me "but she's a woman"; although this was an undercurrent, this guy came right out and said it. Another, 2nd gen immigrant didn't want other Mexicans crossing the border and it was pretty clear he had the "I've got mine" attitude. Abortion actually worked against Harris in a lot of cases, etc. Mostly people who couldn't parse through the implications of what Trump was saying and wanted simple answers were the ones swayed.

This reminds me of the fact that they rolled out Bill "sex offender" Clinton to chastise people for caring about Gaza.

Harris wasn't willing to admit that Biden didn't do enough on anything. Her campaign seemed more concerned with his ego, the emphasizing they'd address concerns. Whether big or small.

You notice how few complain about the aid given to Israel as opposed to Ukraine? It's because the right wing don't attack that. And they're the only ones good at doing so.

This is a minor issue, but I think they need to stop bringing in so many celeberties and the Obamas to the rallies, it just makes the candidate seem like they need help to be propped up by rich people and often the Obamas are much better conmunicators who overshadow the actual candidate.

What do you think leftist economic policies are? They aren't about "bennies" for everyone else. They're all about benefitting everyone. We aren't talking about reparations. I'm honestly at a loss at even what you're saying.

But this doesn't hurt Republicans.
