Stop feeding the troll guys, this our time to celebrate, don't pay it any attention, just revel in our impending victory.

Crowe isn't trolling. I don't agree with him, but that doesn't mean he is trolling. Everyone has their opinion.

Marvel may, arguably not have a villain as good as Magneto (who has been overused to the point he has become trite), but Marvel also never did this:

Exhibit B, which can by itself 100% crush any case for F4 rights staying with Fox. :woot:

Show me the last time Marvel knocked it out of a park with a villain not named Loki? Vulture having one great scene in the car doesn't count.

I don't think they've had a villain on the level of Loki yet simply because we haven't had enough time with them - but I consider Zemo, Vulture and Hela all very promising and they will all return. Blanchett owned her role - and with the time she was given, she had amazing charisma and screen presence and I feel like she is going to play a role in the Infinity War at some point. I could be wrong - but I would personally love this.

I predict you are right that Loki will make some deal with Thanos. And then maybe he'll betray Thanos too in Avengers 4. Although, just out of curiosity, how is this different than how Fox has had Magneto switch sides about as many times at that point?

I don't have a problem with Mags switching sides. I loved him in X2 and the way he betrayed Charles. It's just that there has never been a villain to rival him and Fox has never even really tried. So I think it's unfair to say hey the MCU only has Loki but give Fox a pass that they only have Magneto. At least Marvel keeps trying with different villains in every film. What annoys me is how they've been killing all of them off but at least that trend has somewhat stopped it seems.

Calling it now... X-Men introduced fighting the MojoVerse in space!

... Actually that would be one big way to differentiate yourself from the X-Men movies that came before.
Would be a pretty crazy (eye-popping, and risky!) way to start. :woot:
Touché. I am happy the FF are going back to Marvel, actually. Just not at this price. However, I still doubt Marvel will ever make a truly menacing villain. And yes, I am doubtful about Thanos too in that regard.
Doubts are fine given what has come before (I've also waged war on mediocre MCU villains for years, until this year where there has been a big improvement) . You are allowed to have hope too though. ;)

Fun isn't one something considers when balancing the studios....but this does put a smile on my face.

I love Kingpin and Kilgrave as characters, but I am talking about the MCU where the X-Men will go, not Marvel Television, which Feige ignores. I would love Marvel to knock Doom out of the park. But I do have my doubts.

Fox’s James Murdoch Declines To Address Disney Talks

Asked at UBS’ annual Global Media and Communications Conference in New York City to comment about the “elephant in the room".

“It would be wrong to comment on market speculation, on what’s out there in the press,” said Murdoch. “So no, there’s nothing to add to that, other than the nothing that we’ve said so far.”
Murdoch did add that the company is always working to “create the most value for shareholders.”

When executives start going down this line, you know the deal is done. Que up the champagne gifs!

I agree FOX nailed Magneto and I liked Stryker. But, who else have they nailed villain wise? Most of their other villains are no more complex than what Marvel gives us. I don't see this notion of FOX does villains so much better than Marvel as actually being true.

But what I do see is Marvel's track record of Good vs Bad films is better than FOX's. X-Men have several good films, this is true. But, they also have many other examples of trash outside it, and even trash within the X-Men series.

Look guys, it’s Victor Domashev! Ruler and Head Moderator of the online message board kingdom of Latveria!

The real question is what happens to Deadpool who singlehandedly proved himself to be a more bankable asset than the Xmen last year. How does he get integrated into the MCU? What happena with his movies ESPECIALLY if DP2 ends up makim close to a billion? Does Marvel Studios launch an offshoot brand of movies for more mature audiences?

Mojo is very slapstick. The premise behind him is entertainment parody. I dont see the franchise being introduced in something so goofy and silly.

He'd fit right into the MCU. And that is not a criticism. I actually think Marvel will use him now that I think about it.

Wow, so this is really happening?

Awesome. Just keep Deadpool.

I'd like them to have a whole new sub brand for X-Men personally.

...and yeah, curious on what would go down with Deadpool. Too much money and popularity there right now. Rebooting and recasting would just cause backlash unlike with X-Men and F4.

That actually sums it up pretty well.

But I guess I'm trolling to point out that the wreckage should be Fox Searchlight and smaller movies like Shape of Water and Three Billboards which Disney is about to bulldoze over.

Yeah, eventually, but I cant see that being how they introduce the X-men into the MCU. Mojo is too much of a joke and wouldnt be a good look for the characters/concepts to go THAT lighthearted. Their first film should set the foundation for them going forward and Mojo isnt the right vehicle to push that forward

Unlike Erik, Loki never switches sides. He's consistently on Team Loki.

And while Fassy is a fantastic actor, his Magneto has been disappointing post First Class. Both his much lauded plane speech - "How dare you abandon those folks who were trying to murder you, Charles!!!!" and his heel turn - Why did Old Magneto vouch for his younger self, again? - were awful in DOFP. And fridging two more nice young ladies so that he would get REALLY steamed at humans this time was the worst part of Apocalypse. There's a reason X-Men fans don't want to see any more of Young Magneto while MCU fans can't get enough of Loki.

Mojo may actually work for say like a Deadpool film.
