they didnt explain anything. It was implied in TLS, that he transferred his mind but there was no explanation for how that happened nor who said patient was.
Yeah I mean I saw that and I know that happened, but yeah they didn't really explain anything. Once again, it's like there was a whole movie of story they skipped over between the Wolverine epilogue and Days of Future Past.

You could've taken out that epilogue and it would've been LESS confusing.

I'm confused, that man was his biological twin? I recall that man was diagnosed as being brain dead, not paraplegic. IF that's the case, why did he wait that long to contact Wolverine?

Yes......it was supposed to be his twin whom Moira MacTaggert.....the same woman Charles was fooling around with in the 60's as she still looked strikingly young........... was treating. I doubt he was paraplegic but plot holes be damned.

Charles stating to Logan about having his methods was referring to that scene.

Its common for people in a coma to lose the use of their legs due to muscle inactivity. Depending on how long they've been out, it often takes extensive physical therapy to be able to walk again. If this guy was in a coma since birth and never ever walked, it would make sense why the body wouldnt be able to walk as a 60+ year old man

I think it would be very hard to argue that audiences had any kind of connection to the Warriors Three,
But audiences had connection to VFX props Blink, Warpath, Sunspot, Colossus and Bishop?

The only deaths that I felt invested in were Iceman and Storm's because we saw them through three movies before, even if in the actual movie they had little to do.

The others were just shock value because of how brutal they were.

Your right......its not explicitly explained like much of this franchise. Its completely glossed over like I said. Charles explained early in the film about transference. And they showed the patient Moira was treating. It was clearly Patrick Stewart. Who else would this be?

Hard to argue and be convincing. Is there a reason you are being antagonistic toward just me across different threads?

Not particularly, it's just a trait of mine, sometimes I'm like a dog with a bone (of contention).

One shouldn't have to argue one's own experience.

I dont recall them showing the guy's face to say it was PS playing him. With that said, we know it was Xavier in the end based on the voice in Moira's head. Like you said, it was weak overall. I was kind of hoping for a brief explanation in DOFP but alas, that wasnt the case

I think it would be very hard to argue that audiences had any kind of connection to the Warriors Three, and the way they died didn't change that.

You would be wrong. You don't speak for others. I loved them and the gif from Abudefduf actually makes me sad.

And apparently neither did Thor, since he clearly forgot they even existed.

Look at how happy they were when they finally found him in the first movie... little did the poor fools know that their "friend" valued his hammer more than their lives.

I thought Ragnarok was fantastic but this is the biggest sin of this film. It NEEDS to be addressed somehow in the future of the MCU.

Marvel may, arguably not have a villain as good as Magneto (who has been overused to the point he has become trite), but Marvel also never did this:

I never saw this before. Is THAT the Doom from Fan$#!Tic?

He looks like Freddy Krueger's love interest.

I wondered why marvelrobbins hasn't showed up yet. Saw he was banned.

Oh well ...

Probationary. Not Permanently. Got warned earlier about calling people haters and C Lee busted him.

Freddie would not bang that.

Was terrible yes. I don't know how they can fix it. No idea how something so dumb and unnecessary sneaked it's way into a good film like that.

I bet its never mentioned again.

Yes. Their brutal death left an impression and signalled how intense the movie would be. I don't disagree with what you're saying. But I actually forgot the Warriors Three were killed and that wasn't one of the things I discussed with my friends after the movie. I couldn't forget about the brutal deaths that opened DOFP and the ones during the climax. I actually have to brace myself for Storm's death each time and every time I show the movie to someone they gasp.

Obviously people on a superhero forum are going to care about them. Ask someone in the general audience who Fandral is.

Wait hold on... are you actually saying that audiences had an emotional connection with Blink, Warpath, Sunspot, Colossus and Bishop?

Nope, maybe you should read my post again and tell me where I use the words emotional connection.

I don't need to have an emotional connection with a character to remember their death or think it was brutal.

This is overblown. Thor had no opportunity to find out what happened until the very end of the movie.

Thor 4 obviously. :yay:

Or Ragnarok 2 as Waititi calls it.

At the very least we need a scene where Thor learns of their deaths and mourns them. Sif's glaring and unexplained absence must be addressed also. These can overlap and could appropriately do so.

If Sif does not have a key role in the next film I will be pissed. Valkyrie is great and all but I can't think of a Thor fan who wants *less* Sif?? If you bring in Beta Ray Bill lots of opportunity for her.

So yeah Feige has some work to do here.

Anyway we're arguing whether anyone cared - I care and apparently others.

I did read your post and was simply asking for clarification. I see now that you edited it right when I clicked quote.

It was certainly a punch in the gut for fans of those characters, or better yet, fans looking forward to seeing them.

I have no idea nor honestly care what they think but am speaking from my own experience as a movie goer. I count too. And if we're running a poll why is this burden on me? Have you conducted a survey already to speak so authoritatively?

Yeah I don't agree with the overreaction on this and understand pacing and creative choices etc. but it needs to be addressed. I'm honestly sad about it. After they had to sit out the end of TDW I was hoping we'd get to see more of them. I knew it was a long shot with as packed as the film was turning out but I think they deserved better.

At least one of them went out like a boss. The others didn't have time to blink.

Is Waititi saying Ragnarok 2? Lol awesome.

Sif's absence can be explained and the deaths can be mourned but it doesn't stop them having gone out like utter chumps. :csad:

I hope we get both Sif and BRB soon, and in Thor 4 if Waititi wants it.

Yeah sorry, didn't mean to derail your discussion

That was the very first leaked image.

And when it came out, we had a bunch of Fox sycophants in here telling us how good it looked.:whatever:
