Disney's Thor?! Some people are complaining that Thor feels like a kids movie!

In the context of the movie I think its preety clear that Its Mjolonir that did it all.

I need to clarify something first-I know Thor had Inhuman strength in the movie.It was pretty clear with his flipping over tables and kicking Frost giants.My Piont was that the level of Thors Superstregth was equal to or below Movie Spiderman's.It definitely wasnt Superman level.Sure Thor pulled out some Superman level feats but that was due to Mjolonir not his Asgardian abilities.

I wouldn't call it a kids film. But it's definitely more universal and family friendly than Iron Man or Hulk.

The theme of Thor is about growing up. Realizing you have responsibilities as a man, learning from your mistakes and arrogance.

I think of Mjolnir as an extension of Thor himself, like a Shinigami's Zanpakuto in Bleach. Even when Thor couldn't actually lift it, Mjolnir was reacting to his very presence, hence the environmental disturbance.

in the avengers maybe they will showcase thor's strength, maybe he will hold up a falling shield helicarrier or something. in this movie he only had his power briefly on earth, also they had to get across how badass mjolnir is. which i think they did really well.

Judging by what people are saying that it looks like a kid film is exactly what I felt when watching the Fantastic Four films, there is no sense of danger or thrills because the storylines aren't exciting, I mean isn't that why FOX is wanting to reboot the FF series to make it harder edge?

I haven't seen the Thor movie yet but I don't think it'll make SM numbers, too bad too since fans are probably looking for more sequels.

This movie will get a sequel, guaranteed. It's already over 100 million and hasn't even been released in the US yet.

I predict at least 400 million WW for Thor.

I don't think comic book Thor is way over powered. He's a God at the end of the day.

Maybe too overpowered for Earth, but back in the day he was involved in the cosmic side of Marvel a lot more. That's missing from todays Thor comics. Thor isn't just an Earth hero, he should be out in space and what not too.

That is definitely not true.I recently read an origin story for Thor(cant remenber which one) which had him busting out of a cage with his bare hands and taking down some Rock type beings(not sure what they were though) without using mjolonir until he neede to(on another topic im a bit confusedon the Donald blake thing,.And from the times I saw Thor fight in Marvel crossovers he used his hammer against tough guys not guys like Spiderman.Seriously think about it spiderman.If you can piont out what weaklin Thor used hia hammer aginst in the comics,then ill agree with you.

weak is spiderman level and below.This is why i say The Frost giants are definitely weak.
Now the Cave Troll and Destroyer are above the level hence the need for Mjolonir.
Loki had a bad ass weapon that was it.His asgardian stregth aint anything to write home about so ill put him down as weak.
