I'm wondering as someone who loved the FX in Man Of Steel...I would have LOVED to see Rogue be "Rogue", but welp, THATS not happening.

Aside from Quicksilver's special "bright lights scene" is there anything you are looking for or hope for?

Hoping for some Storm action but idk. Singer loves to make to lose interest in his projects.
Minimal Storm and no rogue.
I bet the Resume scene was an action scene smh

I'm looking forward to the power displays of Storm, Iceman, Colossus, Quicksilver, Bishop, Warpath, Sunspot and Ink.

Rogue being "Rogue" isn't Rogue.
She isn't naturally gifted with superhuman strength and flight. she STOLE that from Ms.Marvel. People need to get that and stop B***n. Like if you really knew the character or read comics you'd know. It's nothing wrong with saying that was your fave era(as it definitely was a stand out era) but Rogue's powers are to take others traits. The whole sassy southern belle thing was not her real personality either, that was Carol's brash and aggressive military attitude taking over, added with her already Southern accent.

Rogue IS Rogue, that's how she suppose to be(currently shes dead i believe..or so i heard)
Srry 4 the rant ,but had to get that off my chest

I wouldn't mind seeing her(Rogue) with some kree strength tho,it'd be nice to have more super strong chars other that Peter. I have a feeling Storm's going to shine with her powers(she always does)

Can't wait to see QS

Tired of Logan and his healing effects

I wanna see the effects of Blink portals when she teleports

Bishop,I'm not sure if he'll use his powers,or mostly use a gun..either way

If Havok is back again, then yay,but it really irks me that his beams is red and not blue/white. *facepalm*

I enjoy Beast acrobatics and high flying stunts

Magneto never fails to astonish. Would love to see him erect a Emp field tho.He never made shields in any of the movies

I'm really here for the Sentinels though

Oh and Iceman using Ice slide, full ice form

I wanna be excited for Prof X,but really im just excited for James and Stewart's superb acting. I wish they'd use some astral projection imagery.I liked what Emma did in FX with the illusion thingy

All I want from this movie is:

-Storm kicking ass
-Iceman in ice form
-Collossus fighting and having more lines
-Blink and Kitty getting a moment

NO

of course there will be alot of power display in this movie, likely all the mutants in the future scenes, havoks platoon in the past, so there will be alot of new stuff

But it seems the future scenes at like 20 mins now! :( shame

probably will be about 30 min at the least, the most 40 min

None of the X-Men films have really pushed any FX boundaries, so my answer is no.

At this point in time, I doubt special effects can be pushed even further. I'd argue that Cameron's work with Avatar marks the crossing of the finished line; anything done since is redundant, as someone else has already done it. The closest we've had was the 48fps, but that turned out to be something of a disaster, so no, nothing ground-breaking can be done at this point, but rather, disciplined use, which Singer will probably do.

The future scene are heavily CGI though. But your right :\

Havok is back and Till stated that he was able to use his powers in a different way. So while it's possible we may see him fire his beams off in a more traditional manner, it's just as unlikely they will suddenly change color. Though it will likely only be a one-shot.

his beam was red most likely to show the relation to cyclops, i know it was said at the time something was added to hint to it

I'm hoping for the ice slide

Anything new in terms of special FX? No.
Anythinf new in terms of action? I believe so, yes. I think he will top the opening sequence in X2

I do believe something like that was mentioned at the time, though I also believe that Singer and Vaughn avoided tying a direct link to Scott and Alex. I also believe that part of the reason was because some of the SFX for his ability were already "finished" (per Till's comments on why he had to perform them the way he did) so it's also possible that they weren't even meant to be Havok's in the first place.

Iceman doing something cool is what I'm looking forward to most. I think Quicksilver's action is likely to be the Nightcrawler sequence of this film.

I hope Quicksilver's scenes won't be like matrixy slo-mo, 360 degrees pan around him crap. We've already seen the make everything else seem slow while the subject moving at "super-speed" move at a normal pace in Spider-Man 1 and Smallville. Hoepfully he'll wow us.

Looking forward to Magneto and Blink the most.

This.

Not that it's an inherently bad thing. Some of those old school FX do the job just as good as ever. But yeah, I don't think Singer is really an FX type of guy, and honestly I've never been impressed by his use of them or his action sequences in these movies.

At the end of the day, special effects should not be used to sell a film, nor propel a film. An enlightened man once said that special effects should be aids to the storytelling, not pillars of the storytelling. However, said enlightened man undid all of his great work with a trilogy most viewers are trying to purge from their minds.
