I do believe this is the first meeting between the real Doc Ock and Ben Reilly

You're right.

Isn't this mini supposed to be telling how they originally wanted the Clone Saga to go or something like that? I wonder if Stunner features in this issue.

^^ Well, that's pretty much what Defalco said. Pretty much "how it should've been." It's great so far, if you ask me, and the art is really explosive, meanign it comes out at you.

How many issues is in this mini in total?

Six, I think.

Question, in the last issue, it looked like Norman or Harry was pulling the string... I thought that Osborn was brought back late in the gamen, only to clean the mess up, how can he be in the series "like it was intended to be"?

They may be making it look like Norman.

As for the mini, the first two issue' was rushed and that hurt it but issue 3 was great. With the next issue being Ben Vs Doc Ock they really can't go wrong

I'm beginning to think that this mini series is half "what we originally intended" and half "lets create some new ideas to work in the story".

Good news everyone! I managed to find a working scanner that I can use to scan a years worth of artwork. And one of them was this Doc Ock picture I did. I'll post it later on.

Yeah, I've seen some of the die hard Clone Saga fans say the same thing.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if Ock survives issue 4. Based on the preview, it already looks like a totally different story to Web of Death. Peter isn't even dying.

Looking forward to seeing it

Here it is! After so many frickin months of waiting to scan it!

Awesome pics, guys

Seriously, I sometimes feel like a heel because I can't offer great contributions like this to the lair :csad:
Bah. You're our Fearless Leader. Even if you aren't "Doc Ock" anymore.

So who read Clone Saga, part four today? Its Ock's big scene in this mini.

I suppose the Clone Saga story disappointed you guys? It did for me, and I'm not such a huge fan of 616 Doc Ock as some ot the people here...

Oh f***. Fixed. I just read the Armor Wars of the UC line, that's probably why I got those mixed.

You offer great wisdom

Awww, thanks guys :highfive:

I'm picking up my copy tomorrow. I've heard good things about it. Apparently Ock is written really well. He recognizes Ben is not the real Spider-Man.

Although my favourite Spidey villain was killed by a friggin' clone, it did deliver one of the best Doc Ock stories ever in Web of Death.

I'd probably hate it more if they never retconned Ock's death. But since they did, it's all good.

Here's the cover and solicitation for Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without A Face #4, the re-imagined Ock for this book has been really cool so far.

The brutal and relentless Crime Master is the least of the Spider-Man’s concerns! As the bloody wave of violent crime spreads across the city, Peter Parker discovers the greater monster is the eminent biologist, Dr. Otto Octavius! If Spider-Man lives to escape the grisly clutches of New York’s most dangerous killer, will he survive a final encounter against the heartless, death-dealing scientist?
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

"Heartless, death dealing scientist"......that sums up this version of Doc Ock in Noir. Cannot wait to read the climax to the story. I love the revamps of all the characters in this series.

That cover is sick :otto:

The only thing I don't like about this is the wheel-chair. But I'll get over it for Octavius.

I read part one of that Spider-man Noir arc today, along with Doc Ock's issue in the Clone Saga mini. Both were extremely enjoyable reads.

The Noir story is dripping with darkness, and their take on Doc Ock is truly creepy and twisted. It's fantastic. And he doesn't look like the traditional Otto Octavius. No bowl cut, or chubby body. His hair is not even brown. This is a whole revamped look for him.

As for the Clone saga issue, it was so good to see a good old fashioned Spidey/Doc Ock throwdown, complete with witty banter. And the icing on the cake was seeing Ock in his snazzy armani suit. Ock also got to display alot of his smarts. He recognized Ben Reilly has a different Spider-Man, as well as noticing a familiarity with Kaine.

Speaking of Kaine:
He does not kill Doc Ock. He attempts to, but is stopped by Ben Reilly.
