No idea where this is from. Someone on the CBR forums posted it. But it looks darn cool:

Not enough characters smoke. Damn Marvel and their anti-smoking policy.

He just doesn't seem the smoker type to me, ya know?

Well, I know what you mean, but I don't agree with it since I've often seen him smoking, so I do affiliate it with the character.

I like to think Ock can enjoy the simple pleasures in life like a good cigar, and a drink now and then :woot:

Just got my hands on a very good copy of Unlimited #3. Great story.

It's one of the first few Ock stories I ever read. Love it. Great backstory for him.

His mother was a selfish b*tch.

I always thought that was another mirror image to Peter Parker that they were doing there. Peter had his Mary Jane, and Otto had his Mary Alice.

But Otto lost his. Just another emotional blow to make him turn out the way he is.

Huh, I never though to it like that.

And technically, Otto pushed Mary away when his arms were fused to him. He thought he had evolved into a higher-being and pretty much looked down upon everyone else. That, and his mother sure did a number on him when she flipped on him for painting a picture of her. That didn't help.

That stuff was in Year One. Unlimited #3 didn't have any of that stuff with the painting. In Year One he never got as far as getting engaged to her like he did in Unlimited #3. Made his loss of her more heart breaking, and his mother even worse.

It doens't amtter. No matter how indepth into his origin we go, it always gives us one vital piece of information: his mom is a b**ch

True, but I think she was worse in Unlimited #3. She actually emotionally blackmailed him into dumping his fiancee, and then went and started dating a man herself afterwards.

Can't help but feel sorry for Ock there. Again, it's another parallel to draw with Peter. Otto lost his father at a young age, and was left with his mum. Much like how Peter was left with Aunt May after Ben died. But Peter was given love and support from May, whereas Ock's mum was a selfish b*tch.

I haven't been here in...well, far too long!

I'll post some scans in hopes of making up for it.
