I have that story "Revenge of the Sinister Six".Took me years to complete it until I found the remaining issues.I really love it although it has some ridiculous elements like Spidey getting a temp cyborg arm.

HA! So I guess you're not reading Ock's current arc where he's after the Osborn Goblin baby?
Oh, I'm reading it. I'm just not paying money for it. :oldrazz:

BTW, check out what I spotted in Wal-Mart this evening:

Official link from Hasbro

Didn't buy it; looks weird and money's tight (and it's a tiny, cheap-looking little thing for the $8 Wal-Mart was charging), but it did make me go :wow:

That Goblin/Ock pic rocks

The designs look like they're from Marvel Knights?

I don't know how you get away with that in your comic book store :oldrazz:

Ick, looks terrible. And is that like a little goatee on Ock's chin?

I'm assuming its fan art. Goblin looks similar to how he did in Marvel Knights but Otto's hair is short here. It was long in Shush. Anyway, its pretty sweet.

Ock attacks New York with giant Octopus robots in a new arc after Origin of the Species called 'Big Time'

This is awesome. Great to see Marvel treat Ock like the big time threat he is :otto:

Forgive me for being out of the loop, but does that panel with Cap, Thor, Spidey and Iron Man mean the registration/Civil War thing is over?

Cool to see giant octobots.

oh man. you are really outta the loop.

ok, aunt may was shot by kingpin by a stray bullet meant for peter. aunt may will not live so peter makes a deal with mephisto to go back in time so that none of that ever happened but at the cost of his marriage with mj. mephisto does his work and peter awakes back in aunt mays home, jobless and unaware of the deal or the events before it.

basically, they erased 15 years of spider-man history.

oh and jj is mayor of new york and sleeping with aunt may...just thought you would like to know

JJJ Sr is sleeping with Aunt May. JJJ Jr is the mayor.

I knew about the Mephisto nonsense, but did that undo the Civil War junk too? Pete's deal with the devil didn't affect Cap and Iron Man suddenly becoming buddies, did it?

it affected the whole world. the civil war never happened.

EDIT: maybe not. that captain america isn't steve rogers. it's punisher (hence the costume)

:whatever: Another brilliant story decision from Marvel.

*looks around shiftily*

Torrents are a girl's best friend?

*halo*

The CBR preview looks interesting. God knows I'd rather Ramos' art than the guy who's been drawing for ASM for the current Ock arc.

Oh, and speaking of Ock in comics, has anyone seen Web of Spider-Man #12, out recently-ish? That one I *did* buy, 'cause half of it was a Doc Ock backstory, similar to what they did when Ock was resurrected by the magic ninja cult. A kind of "let's catch the readers up on who this guy is". Only goes up to Ock's first stint in prison, but it's quite good. :otto:

Am I the only one who thinks that Spidey is entirely too flippant and overconfident in those preview panels?

Some more thoughts:
1. Ramos' art is terrible.
2. Where did Ock get the cash, facilities and material to build those 'bots?
3. Where is Ock, anyway?
4. Why is Wolverine here? Does Quesada understand the concept of overexposure?
5. The 'web up his glasses' thing is something Otto himself overcame long ago, with a solution that dissolves Spidey's webbing. Did the writer just not do his homework?
6. God, Marvel sucks these days.
7. I need a stiff drink.

Speaking of which, I just read spoilers for the latest issue:
Apparently Ock beats the living snot out of The Chameleon

yeah, I bought it. It was really great. Loved the cover, too:

Not really. That's Spidey's nature. He's cocky and confident.

2. Where did Ock get the cash, facilities and material to build those 'bots?

Same place he did to build a Master Planner lair underwater I'd imagine.

3. Where is Ock, anyway?

Hopefully off in a lavish hideaway scheming a scheme of epic proportions with a new and improved healthy body.

5. The 'web up his glasses' thing is something Otto himself overcame long ago, with a solution that dissolves Spidey's webbing. Did the writer just not do his homework?

I don't understand. Spidey doesn't web Ock's glasses in this preview.

7. I need a stiff drink.

Mine's a pint, mate.

And then Dmitri
gets beat up by the Lizard.
It just hasnt been Chameleon's day.

Wow, a comic issue I'm actually looking forward to a little?
