Who would be stupid enough to get into a snowball fight with Ock?

I would think ock wouldn't waste his time on such a menial thing as a snowball fight. his intelligence is far beyond that.

^^^ I re-read that issue recently:

I always thought the jumpsuit looked goofy :p

I liked the armani white suit and the trench coat. Made him feel...epic.

I just finished reading the arc. Something about plots back then are so awesome. It's the kind of stuff you don't get with the modern stories; everything has to be so serious.

It was written by Stan Lee. He knew these characters inside out because he created them.

Every time he brought Doc Ock back, he was even more dangerous than before, forcing Peter to up his game again and again and again. Ock's appearances were all landmark stories during Lee's era.

One thing I enjoy about reading Stan's comics is that he keeps everything exciting and moving. He takes the more leisurely character scenes and gives them a punchline; "The Amazing Aunt-Woman"? It's pure Lee.

True, but the quality of the stories in which he wore the jumpsuit made up for it. Villains typically look goofy, which is why Hollywood has such a hard time figuring out how to translate their costumes to the big screen.

If they kept the dialogue like it was in those Lee classics, then the outfits wouldn't seem so out-of-place. Because then, everything would be over-the-top and fun instead of grim, gritty and 'realistic'.
It's one of the reasons why I love Batman: Brave and the Bold.

This is why I'm really into the idea of making period pieces out of Marvel movies. In other words, setting them in 60s.

I find the translation process (and usually the results) to be fun and fascinating.

Not corny =/= 'Grim and gritty'.
