We like your hair, too, Otto :hehe:

And what on earth are your comics doing in storage, Miss Haz?
Hubby and I had to temporarily move in with his mom due to the recession. So a lot of our stuff is in another state. It's nice and safe; I just don't have access to a lot of it.

I have some of my Ottos and a few TPBs and such. So I'm not wholly without. :)

I rewatched Spider-Man 2 last night! It's such an awesome film! And that's mostly because of Alfred Molina's performance as Doc Ock! :otto:

Did you watch it on TV, or do you own it? If so we might have watched it at the same time.

As a die hard Doc Ock fan and someone who LOOOVES the Armani look for Ock, where the hell did this come from? I want it! :otto::up:

Oooooh slick.

I wish they'd make a statue of him in the armani suit.

It's been ages since I've watched the Spidey movies. I'll have to pop SM-2 into the DVD player soon.

Molina's performance is endlessly entertaining.

A nifty bit of Molina-Ock fanart I spotted today on dA: http://theblackdrac.deviantart.com/art/Armed-and-Dangerous-131847920

Pretty cool!

Recently, I found out that someone has written an article on tvtropes.com about me. Or, at least, one of my fanfiction series. I'm famous now! Or is that infamous? :otto:

:hehe:

Wow, congratulations, MP.

Always nice to get recognition for your work.

OK, I'm going to share with you a semi-cool/mostly ridiculous idea that's been burrowing through my head for a few months. Remember the old Star Trek episode "Mirror Mirror" about the 'alternate universe where good guys are evil and bad guys are good'? I had this idea about applying the 'evil alternate universe' concept to the Marvel Universe. Some of the details involve:
Reed, Sue Ben and Johnny terrorize the world as the Ferocious Four, stopped only by The Victor (aka Dr. Doom) protector of Latveria.

Magneto leads M Squad, a group of mutants working with normal humans to stop the Genoshan Mutant Empire from conquering the world.

Brilliant, mild mannered graduate student Otto Octavius is the victim of a tragic accident, grafting his experimental tentacle apparatus to his body. After his mother is killed by a criminal he could've stopped, Otto learns that with great power, comes great responsibility. He then begins to fight crime in New York as The Astounding Doctor Octopus! He battles new super criminals such as the Black Spider, Risk (aka Daredevil), DeathCage (AKA Luke Cage) and his partner (Iron Fist, but I can't come up with a good evil alt. name yet).

Ridiculously cheezy, I know. But I think it could be a ton of fun, too.

I say go for it! If you do it right, it could be a ton of fun, and not to mention there aren't very many fics that have Otto as the hero. :hehe:

What I want to see is a statue of the movie version of Otto, wearing the armani suit.

And thank you Joker, recognition does feel nice after laboring in near-obscurity for half a decade. :otto:

Cooool figurine, Spider-ManHero12, I love that suit ^^

Gratz, Planner!!! :D

I agree with Planner, that could really go somewhere! Otto would have some very clever ways to deal with his adversaries :D

That sounds very cool and really entertaining. 'What if' stories are always great fun because there are no rules. You can go crazy with the characters.

This is the only movie Doc Ock statue I've ever seen. Although technically they're bookends:

Where u get tht statue, havnt seen it before :( I would luv the clocktower statue!

I doubt it. It would be closed by now if it was. They're only closing threads that slow down the server. Namely threads with lots of pictures and gifs posted in them like the Caption this thread, and the manips threads.

Exactly. It was only the top 20 threads that were closed. The Lair is popular...but not that popular.

Joker, they did make a statue of Otto in the Armani suit. He's fighting Spidey. I have one myself and it looks cool.
