However I am uncertain as to why some people keep saying this item really means nothing, because if Ock were reappearing, why not use Molina?

Molina has been asked to return.Which also encourages me more to believe we are getting an Ock cameo.I'm not pinning all my hopes on this. But the possibility is there. We've seen it.Molina said Raimi told him Ock ain't dead.

DUH. They would use Molina. And if he does anything stuntworthy, they'll call in the lookalike stunt-guy, right? :) Stunts during a cameo spell "interesting news" to me. After all, Dafoe got a well-deserved cameo but it's not exactly like he needed a stunt-guy for that one. What on earth are they having Molina DO? Wheeeeee!

Also Dafoe's cameo was kept under wraps for the surprise factor. We had NO idea it was coming. There's no reason not to believe Ock's is being kept hush hush too.

This is the only news so far that has gotten one quiver of interest out of me.

Sad isn't it,when a stunt man gives us something to be eager about, but the announcement of one of the villains doesn't lol.

Oh my God, if I found out we were getting Electro with the Six next up down the line, I think I would all but die of happiness.

Oh god yes.

The Sinister Six on screen.I'd have a geek gasm.

The icing on the cake would be if they hired Castro to write the script. It'll never happen, but one can dream :(

And last but not least, Molina doing a cameo would be great just because it would shut up the legions whining even now: "But Ock's dead, we saw it and he's definitely dead because we all know there's no way anyone could possibly survive sinking to the bottom of the East River." bah-hahahahaha

If Brett Ratner were doing this movie, then the Sinister Six wouldn't be out of the question. As it is, having that many villains in one movie would leave much too little time to further explore, display and degrade the romance between the Insufferable Spider-Wuss and GweMJ.

I sure as hell hope they don't bring Movie!Ock back. The question has never been (at least for intelligent people like us who know the slightest bit of information about Dr. Octopus) whether he could survive what happened in Spider-Man 2. It's what the hell is he going to do? To be a villain again, either he has to forget the events of his last scenes or his A.I. slave-driver programming reasserts itself and makes him revert to being a weak-willed, artificial villiain (who admittedly happens to look excruciatingly awesome) despite his entirely inappropriate act of heroism at the end of the last film. The latter option is unthinkable, to me, anyway. The former one is slightly better, but the whole of Movie!Ock is a sham, because the very basis of his being a criminal is corrupted by incompetent plotting, screenwriting directing and producing. Bringing Movie!Ock back will no doubt further degrade the reputation of Spider-Man's greatest villain, so I'm not exactly hoping they'll do it.

Hey, you've turned into an optimist! That's great! Good to see, good to see.

Yes! Yes! And then we could lay down the mother of all childish banter cards, the "I Told You So" card. :D

On this issue I must disagree with the respected Logan.

I want the next incarnation of Ock to forget all about that half-hero stuff and remember what he's all about: The Big Picture. There is no way Ock wiould be able to lead the Six in a conflicted state, so Raimi would almost be forced to scrap that side of things. Most excellent!

I do not want to further degrade his character, I want it FIXED.

Hey, I live for that stuff :) Seriously, the spoilers forum better hope Gopher IS Venom, because if he turns out to be someone else, it's NOT going to be pretty. For them, anyways. I'll be too busy popping champagne corks.

Merry Christmas again to everyone.I hope you're all having a fun day.

Merry Christmas everyone! I got a Movie Doc Ock figure today :D

Great prezzie Spideylad.I'm about to show off my Ock collection ;) Is your movie Ock figure one of the two I have maybe??

Happy holidays Sable.Hope you had a fun day.

Ok quite a few things have been added to my Ock collection since last I showed it.So here we go:

You know I think Bowen's classic Ock bust is a little jealous of Ult Ock's marvelous physique :)

Now onto figures:

Poor Spidey.Lab coat Ock hasn't let him go since they came out of the box.

Now here was trouble.I had one hell of a time convincing Ult Ock,classic Ock and Negative Exposure Ock to share the shelf with the two Jokers and their squeeze Harley Quinn.

Bad enough they refuse to share their space with anyone else, but DC villains coming in and invading their territory?!?!?! It didn't help matters when Hush Joker made a wisecrack about Ock's bowlcut.

Look there. You can see Ult Ock (which Venom_uk generously gave me for Xmas) giving Hush Joker evil looks behind his back.

I don't know how long I can maintain the peace there.I can't watch them 24 hours a day.I guess it's a good thing that Ult Ock doesn't have his tentacles right now. He'd tear Joker to pieces.

I cut them off that ridiculous water pack he had.I'm going to attach them to something else that I can attach to the Ult Ock figure. He needs his tentacles. He is almost naked without them ;)

There's always the room and possibility for yet another crappy lame 'you thought I was dead but no' device as it has been over decades and decades.

EDIT: Btw that's a kickass awesome collection. Just for that I'll admit Ock is alive if you want to. :D

That's pretty darn kick ass. I stick a sticker of approval on his buttocks. Where's it going to go in the Ock crew already adorning your shelves? Front and center, I bet.

Well, that answers that question. Maybe next time I should scroll the rest of the way down the page before asking questions.

Very nice displays & figures all, and if the Joker and HQ start any trouble, you can send 'em over here :) I got Batman over here, he'll whip 'em into shape. In fact now that I think of it, i have 2 Batmen...

I cut [the tentacles] off that ridiculous water pack he had.I'm going to attach them to something else that I can attach to the Ult Ock figure. He needs his tentacles. He is almost naked without them

...but in U. Ock's case, is being "almost naked" really a bad thing....? No. Ha.

Poor Spidey.Lab coat Ock hasn't let him go since they came out of the box.

I have one Spidey a.f., he spends his time fleeing the assorted felons on my shelves. :) He's been dodging Electro for months now.

I'm glad you all like my humble collection.I'm quite proud of it myself :)

And now I'd like to wish one of our Octavians a very Happy Birthday-Nicklogic.Hope you have a good one today Nick:
