I'm impressed by the cultural awareness of the Nepalese. The people filming that video are locals who clearly know it's Doctor Strange and are excited to catch a glimpse to share with the world. Good for them.

BTW, searching through the list of smileys for a thumbsup made me see this one that I kinda want to include in every one of my posts on this forum:
:ds:

Are they that culturally aware of him? Or is it because of Sherlock and their awareness of Benedict Cumberbatch? Maybe they just want to catch a glimpse of him.

Guess this answers who was under the hood?

I hope they will give Dr. Strange his iconic cape. Won't be the same without it.

^ I love that Baron Mordo outfit. While not 100% comics accurate, it clearly invokes the feel of his outfit - something a lot of Earth-based Marvel villains don't.

Well, they were focusing on the hats, which showed the name of the movie. I don't think that was a coincidence. Anyway, there's no real point in speculating here unless someone wants to come in and explain why they filmed it.

well they are already incorporating the colors of his outfit into his hobo attire. notice the red of the inside of his jacket, only visible around the general neck area? clearly that's clever foreshadowing of he cape he dons later

for comparison's sake:

a pretty good adaptation. the colors are all there and it's outlandish enough yet believable to be an actual traditional clothing style

I wish he had the big collars and the more traditional Mordo hairstyle. Does he even have a beard in this film? They could've given him the yellow chest symbol too.

I like the costume It looks realistic and grounded. color reminds me of dr doom

I'd like to point out that Mordo's outfit during the origin story has never been his most well known costume. Here is how he looked in Strange Tales #115 (1963), in Doctor Strange #169 (1968) and in Uncanny Origins #12 (1997) for comparison.

Mordo's comic book costume looks cheesy tbh. This is much better.

It definitely invokes the spirit of his outfit without looking campy.

Really digging these set photos. I'm willing to bet that Mordo will get a different costume though

Theoretically speaking, could Cumberbatch keep his English accent for Strange?

Also this is just what Mordo is wearing when me meets Strange with the Ancient One, he may have a different outfit later in the movie that's even more close to the comic outfit.

I love waking up and seeing new set photos and news about this movie. I'm so giddy right now that I'm grinning and shaking like a maniac.

That could be his early "good guy Mordo" costume too. Maybe he'll get some different threads later when he goes evil.

Theres a little Star Wars Jedi/Sith aspect to this stuff too which is cool.
