he doesn't look like a creepy pedophile

and he's a great actor who can do crazy and intense. have you watched the Hannibal series?

Oh my God, not that guy. I didn't realize that that was the guy from Hannibal. He's the worst thing about the show. He blows.

Now, Mads Mikkelsen as Strange, THAT would be cool.

What about Anson Mount (from Hell on Wheels)? He could certainly pull off the look...

At this point I just want a confirmation, its high time we received some news about this

How long are negotiations going to go on for?!

I have a feeling Marvel is going to dump a lot of casting at once for this, rather than an individual announcement

I doubt that. If he's signed, it'll likely leak. Either we'll find out that way or they'll try and get ahead of the story. Either way, there's no way this could be kept a secret.

Tss, Hugh Dancy is brilliant on Hannibal.

Am I the only one surprised this casting hasn't been announced yet? It's been three weeks since the Deadline article and...nada from Marvel. This is nuts.

I don't care anymore. Marvel is on their own schedule and as of yet not let me down.

Seems like Cumberbatch is starting to get annoyed with the question now.

Well...I guess that wasn't a "NO". But it wasn't a "YES" either. They must still be in negotiations. Please, please Movie Godz, go with some one else....

I've been following this Imitation Game press tour, and by now, feel a little sorry for the guy. He's got a bunch of crazies following his every move, he's feeling the fish bowl of fame and frankly, he's kind of arrogant in the way only the British can be.

My 11 year old kid took an instant dislike to him on The Daily Show. LOL. Whatever that means.

Rightfully so... jesus christ he has the most annoying fanbase bar none.

"Cumberbatch rolls his eyes at Doctor Strange question! That must be a sign to his fans that he secretly has it!"

"Cumberbatch punches interviewer in the face for asking him about Doctor Strange!!!1! That must mean its close to being official!"

"Cumberbatch has locked himself in his hotel bathroom and refuses to come out! He must be in final negotiations on the phone!"

"Theres a news crew surrounding his home! That must mean he got the role! The police must be celebrating because I hear sirens!"

Lol

I don't think he's tired of the fame, he's just tired of being asked the same question over and over again when the interviewers know he can't answer it. That guy from MTV called him a liar, imagine how pissed off you'd get.

I don't doubt he has it, because otherwise at this point, he would straight up deny it and say he is tired of the question.

It's very cumbersome, especially if you're trying to promote another project and keep getting asked about what's still under negotiations. To that extent it's understandable if he gets a little annoyed.

Well if he doesn't get it,I would like them to go for Gyllenhaal, he is REALLY underrated.
In Nightcrawler, man what a performance

Now there's a sweeping ignorant statement if ever there was one.

I really like the idea of Jake Gyllenhaal as Doctor Strange. I'd like for him to play some kind of superhero. He's been trying for parts since nearly replacing Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man in Spider-Man 2 and testing for Batman in Batman Begins, and he was actually my pick to be the new Batman in the upcoming films before I heard they were skewing older.

Jack Huston

Lee Pace was wasted as Ronan.:csad:

I'd definitely prefer Gyllenhaal over Cumberbatch. He's a far more interesting choice and a better actor t'boot. Only thing going against him is he might be too young. They could probably age him up a bit though.
