What would the fan's head-canon be for the appearance of Sixth Doctor?

I don't know. Maybe he secretly wished he could walk into a room as melodramatically as Commander Maxil.

Guess we know now who the hybrid of the prophecy Davros was banging on about is now? Destined to become the 'Minister of War' perhaps?

Maybe...lol :cwink:
I was thinking the same thing as well. The Minister of War can't just be some throw away line, but the only issue would be her appearance since she's technically immortal. Maybe whatever happens in the next episode and the person she chose to become like her will become that.

The episode was good. Not as strong as the others, but I like the Doctor and his ability to speak baby, plus seeing them actually address his face and seeing Tennant/Donna was a good treat. It doesn't explain Capaldi in Torchwood, but they've ignored a ton of things, so it's not a big deal.

First look at Jenna as Queen Victoria

I wonder she's amused

John Frobisher from Torchwood is going under the "massive coincidence" category. He just so happened to have the face of a future Doctor and the name of an old companion, just like the 2nd Doctor just so happened to look like a Mexican dictator, Nyssa just so happened to look like a girl from 20th century Earth, Rassilon just so happened to look like the president of Great Britain from an alternative timeline, Martha's mother just so happens to look like a nurse the 6th Doctor met, and Amy just so happened to look like one of the soothsayers from Pompeii.

Wow. Great second part.

Maisie's performance was really good. I believed how jaded she become even if the verbal sparring got a bit repetitive.

I know all the Clara splinters die saving the Doctor so man it's gonna be tragic to lose main Clara. I will give major credit to Moffat if Clara's death is somehow related to how they got out of the Doctor's timestream.

a really phenomenal episode tonight with great performances by Maisie Williams and Peter Capaldi... this series is a vast improvement over the last few...

Can they please get rid of those stupid sonic sunglasses already?

The tenth doctor and Donna are coming to big finish!

http://www.bigfinish.com/news/v/doctor-who-the-tenth-doctor-adventures

The series opens with Doctor Who – The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Technophobia by Matt Fitton, which is set in a London slightly in the future, where mankind is gradually losing its ability to use everyday technology. Could there be an evil force at work?

In Doctor Who – The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Time Reaver by Jenny T Colgan the Doctor and Donna arrive on Calibris - ‘An entirely mechanical planet. Catch, hitch, fuel, fix, buy, pretty much any kind of transportation in existence.’ It’s also a world full of scoundrels, where a deadly black market has opened up in a device known only as the Time Reaver.

Finally, in Doctor Who – The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Death and the Queen by James Goss, Donna is swept along in a fairytale romance and meets the man of her dreams in the beautiful land of Goritania. What can possibly go wrong? And why has the Doctor never heard of Goritania?

'I’ve enjoyed working with all the Doctors on TV, but David is the only one I’d known before he became the Doctor,' says executive producer Nicholas Briggs. 'I’d worked with him on our Dalek Empire series for Big Finish and had such fun. So along with the excitement of directing new Tenth Doctor adventures, I’m so happy to be working with an old chum again.'

Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures is produced by David Richardson, script edited by Matt Fitton and James Goss and directed by Nicholas Briggs.
'This is one of those dream projects where I’ve spent months pinching myself. I’m covered in bruises,’ says David. ‘With two major international stars in place, and the legacy of this era of the TV show to live up to, we’ve worked our socks off to try and make some very special stories for this box set. Expect adventure, fun, scares... and some tears too.'

Doctor Who – The Tenth Doctor Adventures will be released in May 2016 - exclusively on the Big Finish website. Each of the three titles are available to pre-order separately today for just £10.99 on CD or £8.99 to download. A bundle of all three titles is also available for £25 on CD and £22 to download!

All three stories are also available in the Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures Volume 1 – Limited Edition set. Limited to just 5,000 copies and available exclusively from bigfinish.com, and the lavish book-sized box set includes exclusive artwork, photography, articles and a one-hour documentary featuring interviews with the stars and production team. You can pre-order the set today at the special price of £30 on CD or £25 to download – offering a £5 discount against the standard price!!

Agreed. I though it was Moffat's way of moving away from the magic wand use of the screwdriver.

So basically glasses as just visual scanners, but then he lit a candle with the glasses. Just make a new screwdriver then.

I liked the magic wand use of the screwdriver. It's the Doctor's trademark. I wish he would bring it back and use the sunglasses occasionally, like the 3-D glasses in Doomsday when the Doctor was still using the screwdriver...

So, Maisie's coming back for Clara's last episode. I knew they were setting up her return with the ending. [BLACKOUT]This won't end well for Clara, will it?[/BLACKOUT]:csad:

which probably menas that we probably won't get Series 10 until 2017, if the movie affects the production of Doctor Who.

It'll probably be handled by a different team, like that K-9 TV series from a few years ago that nobody watched.

It was never going to end well for Clara. It never ends well for any companion in the new era.

It doesn't end badly either.

Rose got to have the 10th Doctor, sort of. His human incarnation at any rate.
Martha came out fine.
Donna got reset before anything bad happened to her. So it was a wash. All her adventures and time were erased but she didn't die.
Amy and Rory might have been stuck in past New York but they were happy and died happy, and together, with an adopted son.
Captain Jack was/is essentially immortal and though he had a rough life, none of it was as a direct result of spending time with the Doctor.
Mickey I think moved on in his life.

Really the only "companion" to suffer would be River and we know she died a good long while after traveling with him, even married to him and we're still not done with her yet.

The rest of those who have had misfortune were never really companions, just unfortunate souls who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time (mostly Christmas Specials).

Rose and her family are pronounced dead on prime earth

Donna will die if she triggers a memory.

Martha- Free agent alien hunter.

Having something happen to the companions where they are 100% shut off from The Doctor is stupid and played out. Let Clara leave happy and open to return somewhere down the road.

Even though it would be a nice change of pace for a companion to just say "bye" to the Doctor and just lead a normal life on Earth again and treat it like she just left a temporary job, it is hard to rationalize that when you consider what a profound effect such a relationship would have on a person.

Martha- Free agent alien hunter.
But Rose and her family are still alive, not dead. Donna's memory trigger is unlikely to happen.

And considering the lives of Rose and her mother were kind of ass until they met the Doctor, you could argue they are better off now.
