Dominic Purcell Up for The Incredible Hulk?

It's ironic that the one thing that most fans can agree on about Hulk whether they liked the movie or not is that Bana should come back and yet they seem to be recasting

As much as I liked the first, I think it's time for a new director. As much as he did right, he did a lot wrong.

As i have said before all actors even considered so far from

Dominic Purcell
Brendon frasier
davis ducovny (sc)

all resemble the cgi Hulk.

however it hasn't been confirmed yet its for banner.. so i think we should wait for official word, i mean i thought bana wanted to come back if i remember reading it right.

yeah, he said he'd want to come back even if they were going for a more lighter tone in the next film.

Hulk 2 facts:

Screenwriter: Zak Penn. Check.

Director: Louis Leterrier. Check.

Bruce Banner: Dominic Purcell. Check.

I'm done, this movie smells like crap.

Oh dear, are Marvel putting this film straight to DVD alongside all the other Louis Leterrier films.

Hulk strongest one there is + Louis Leterrier = Hulk lamest one there is!

Can't see Bana touching the script for this one :down

Will it succeed in being better than the first Marvel movie production, the Man-Thing?

that's what i remember too. i listened to the Purcell interview again, he sounds more like he cant talk anything about TIH and is just mumbling through trying to avoid the whole subject matter.

I have been reading this thread for a while & I like Dominic Purcell, I think he is cool & a good actor (Blade Trinity not withstanding). I think he is better suited as Abomination. Which is funny when you think about how this thread is the exact opposite as the Topher thread. Which also has fans of Topher in here saying Dominic is too big for Banner yet Topher is just right as Venom. Heh, funny how that works.

Anyway, I had recently thought of someone who could probably do alright as Banner, Alexis Denisof from “Angel”. He’s nerdy looking & he play’s the bookworm geek gone rogue & dark very well (see “Angel” last two seasons).

To bad the two French dork's have not thought of it, all well just a thought.

Quesada: Okay first new character we need to cast is Eddie Brock in Spider-Man 3. He is a big bodybuilder type who is Peter Parker's rival.
aradth.jpg

Avi Arad: How about Topher Grace.
comicon_ospiti_14.jpg

Joe Quesada: My God...that's is such a great idea!

Joe Quesada: Okay what is next. Ah, Incredible Hulk. We need a new Banner. Now, Bruce Banner is a puny scientist type guy.

Avi Arad: How about Dominic Purcell?

Joe Quesada: Jesus! Avi Arad you're a genius!

I just cant believe how dumb Marvel are being with this movie. They say they want Hulk to be one of their top franchises, so they hire a writer who helped ruin the X-Men franchise, a director who has never directed an above average or an over 100 minute movie in his life. And now they are looking to an actor who is built like a brick **** house for the role of puny Banner.

I mean throw me a bone here Marvel, WTF is going on?

1. Ummm how was the X-Men franchise ruined?? Because you didn't like it?? According to the numbers there are a ton of people that don't think it was ruined. Little too early to be bashing the guy...give him a chance.

2. Well yeah the director is not an obvious choice and I am disappointed by it for now. But let us wait till we actually see something until we start judging.

3. Yeah if he is really up for Bruce Banner I hate it. But I honestly think he isn't. He looks to be more suited for Abomination and that is what I am hoping he was in talks for.

It was ruined because they **** on the characters and storylines they based the movie on, THATS why i didnt like it. It was a joke, and a poorly made movie as well, with NO character development at all. It just **** on everything the 1st 2 movies set up as well. And dont even bother bringing the numbers into the argument, most people i know HATED the movie. The only one i know who didnt was my brother, but he thought Van Helsing was one of the best movies ever as well.

Everything they are doing on this movie just smells like a fox production. I've gone from a fan who wanted a sequel for 3 years to someone who doesnt want a sequel if they are going in this direction.

This is his first comic book movie outside of Fox which is what makes it excited. I know how much Fox messes with the creative side of the film. I mean I doubt you hate ALL of this guys work.

Well agree to disagree. I loved it Fox problems aside. And it might smell like a Fox production to you but this one of Marvel's first projects so its kind of hard to say where exactly they are going. When the first teaser/trailer comes out we will get a better perspective. But hey I am with you because I feel disappointed by some of the things I am hearing but you also need to give it a chance like I am instead of making rushed judgements.

Hardly any of X2 was his, his treatment for it was vastly different than the finished product.

Well my point is the majority of the movies that people hate seem to be at Fox. Coincedence? Speaking of coincedences I think its interesting that he wrote PCU and Jon Favreau who was a star in it is now directing Iron Man...haha.
