I've heard of people who have had to cut off all their hair because of the damage the dye did to it. I have also heard of people who've lost their hair (for the same reason). Then there are those folks that end up with a weird colour when they were trying for a normal one (green instead of blonde seems common). However, this severe of an allergic reaction is really rare.
I'm betting he didn't do a skin test. The directions for all dyes from manufactures say to do both a skin test 24 hours before using the dye every time you use it - even if you have dyed your hair before - as allergies can develop at any time.
They also tell you to do a strand test before applying it to your full head so you can check the color and how the dye reacts with your hair (this also helps you gauge timing).
maybe I should actually start poking a ventilation hole over the meat and completely removing the celophane over the cobbler and then microwave it for 4 minutes, take it out and stir and then do it for 4 more and then remove it and let it cool for one minute.
