Well it's not like Will hasn't eaten human flesh before. Only difference is now he knows it.

I certainly don't mind it, and I think it fits the show. To beat the devil you have to play his game. Personally I love it. Hannibal is getting played like a little *****.:D

I think, Will/Jack teamed up and are getting Will to sacrifice baiting the 'fish' by doing what ever is necessary like eating human meat (from the morgue or something the FBI/Jack allowed).

The plan is going like this...

Will + Jack (fisherman) + Freddie (the bait) + Alana (the hook) = Hannibal (fish)

They told us they were doing this when Jack/Will talked a few episodes ago, we're just finally seeing it build into place.

It has to be human meat. There is no other way it makes any sense. The writers trying to say Hannibal wouldn't know whether it was human meat or not would be like them trying to say me or you wouldn't know a piece of cow, pork, or lamb when it was in front of us or in our mouth. Given that Hannibal is also a chef he is even more likely to know exactly what he is eating and Will knows this so I really think Will ate human flesh. I think this how dedicated he is to this.

Well, maybe, but I kind of doubt it still. I'm waiting to see.

I'm sure it was human meat Hannibal eaten it enough to know the difference

In regards to Hannibal knowing, I am reminded of an episode in the first season where Hannibal was talking about how it's rarely the actual meat that you eat that gives it it's value, and more about how it's presented to you, hence why extremely expensive beef doesn't really taste different, but just the fact that you paid that price for it makes it seem different to you. So, presenting this idea to Hannibal in that way as kind of huge boon would make him less critical of what's in his mouth? I mean, I don't know, there generally speaking isn't a huge difference in taste between red meats (at least, to me).

I kind of still doubt Will actually went cannibal, but we'll see by season's end, I'm sure.

The biggest difference between human meat and animal meat is. The animal is raised to eventually be eaten. In doing so the diets are different, I've never grown up on a farm area. However from those I know who have they tell me, there is a difference in taste. I imagine that would be the difference that Hannibal could immeadetly tell.

It's not just taste (which is very different) but the texture. Pig, cow, deer, lamb etc all have different tastes, textures, cuts, and even the marble will be different depending on the meat. A chef like Hannibal would know. Hell he would know what he was cooking even before finished cooking it just be examining it.

There's another possibility tho: that Hannibal knew it wasn't human meat, but in the interest of Will's transformation let's him have the delusion that he thought it was human meat. He may think Will is entirely delusional at this point. Something like that I could buy if the writers weren't comfortable having Will go cannibal to trap Hannibal.

Regardless of the truth of the matter, I'm excited for these final episodes. Such a great show!

I love how a few weeks ago, I can't wait for Lounds to bite it and now I'm hoping that she's still alive. :funny:

Ugh... Fuller is getting some hate for that Margot/Will sex scene because they're accusing him of glossing over her being a lesbian. Were these people even watching?!

Yeah..... damn that openly gay writer/producer for playing down the gayness of a character. :whatever:

I doubt Lounds is dead. Will just has her locked up somewhere comfy cozy. :) Maybe even with Chilton. :p

Presumably what would happen to any person that shoots someone in the face when they're already in custody.

The slash fans on tumblr are getting alot of mileage off last night's episode. :o

Wow. What an amazing episode! Although I have to admit that Vincenzo Natali's direction is kinda tedious and slow, fortunately -unlike ep 8- last episode was interesting enough on its own to avoid total boredom (please Fuller, keep the man away from future episodes!)

How awesomely beautiful and weird was that sex scene/s?

And my favorite scene of all: Hannibal waiting patiently in his murder suit for Freddie to come back and finish her off! LOLOLOL (At least I assume it was Freddie the one he was waiting for, this scene was right after Alana mentioned her in the dinner and she was shown directly afterwards going to Will's house).

And OH MY GOD, that promo for next episode!! Things surely heat up!! Can't wait for the climax

P.S. I LOVED Michael Pitt!! Looking forward to more scenes with him

Did anyone else notice the reference to Hannibal's backstory? He told Mason that he had a sister, like in the novel.

They gave her a pat on the back and showed her the door?

I've been saying it for years but Michael Pitt sure is good at playing creepy dudes.
Murder by Numbers, Funny Games and now Hannibal.

Yea Michael Pitt is just great at creepiness. I gotta say though, totally wasn't expecting his Mason to be like this. It's really refreshing to see him play a different sort of creepy

I can't be the only one thinking that's a bit too far to take Will, right? I still dunno how I'm feeling about all of this. It's like they didn't know what else to do with him once he got outta the looney bin
