The Dark Knight Dressing up for TDK

No one dresses up for anything here, even when EP1, 2 and 3 released for SW not 1 person dressed up

i wish people would i think its cool, i MIGHT put on some joker face paint but i highly doubt it, the only time ive ever seen people dress up in my town is at adventure con (comic con)

I've got no ticket, but here's my card!

Oh My God.

This is just awful. Why do you all feel the need to dress in costumes to watch a movie? People like you all are the reason that films that are based on comic books get no respect.

I hope that there are no idiots dressed up when I go see it.

Yet he's on a comic book message board :whatever:

The good thing about working at the theatre, we'll all end up talking about the people who dressed up after.
Although, it would be fun if they let us staff dress up...

It's nothing to do with Idiocy, it's fun to make the costumes, and its fun to be seen like that.
But i wouldn't call this guy a troll, tons of people share this same opinion for some reason, to me, it's good fun investing free time into it.

I live in a small town, so i'll probably be the only one dressed up, a friend of mine has a bat girl costume, but i doubt she has the balls (hah) to do it.

I don't have the balls to dress up but I do respect those who do. Like I said before the most I'll wear is my I believe in Harvey Dent shirt from the Dentmobiles, maybe toss on a CFB pin, and I'll definitely bring my Joker Goon Masks.

Is anyone dressing up as Batman?

I'll be wearing my vintage Bat-girl T, but that's it. I wouldn't want to be throwing all the Batfans into a tizzy by dressing up as Harley or Catwoman :oldrazz:

I'm planning on going as The Joker during the prologue, but I need to find a decent goon mask. What was the verdict on the masks? Child or Adult size? which one is better?

I'll prolly just go in some Dark Knight merch, like my new era hat and a joker shirt.

The same reason why people like you don't get respect on these boards. Seriously, just because we're short on ignorance doesn't need we need someone to restock it, not in demand like the MM Joker figures. Show yourself out, would you kindly? :cwink:

My costume is almost done, getting my hair done this next week it looks like and my makeup done on the 17th.

People who think they will get "hated" on or beat up or w/e. They just haven't tried it.

I've been to a lot of midnight showings dressed as characters. Star Wars (all three) the Matrix back when that was big, Superman Returns, XMen

The fact is that the rest of those people who are at the midnight showing, whether they are dressed up or not, they are at a MIDNIGHT showing, so they obviously are fans of the series or character, and won't mind (I'd be surprised if they weren't excited) a few people dressed up. I'm another one having a party of about twenty people before the midnight release, and we're alll dressing up.

Yeah, I'd feel a tad bit uncomfortable getting COMPLETELY dressed up. I might mix it up. Maybe the first time I watch it, I'll wear Joker colors and POSSIBLY green hair. Or green-ish hair. The second time I'll be wearing my batman colors and Batman shirt! All in black. Kind of like a Batman in regular outfit, lol. Without the mask.

yeah, my thing is i want to stand out from the crowd, but not to stick out like a sore thumb. but i know that i'm definitely bringing my copies of The Gotham Times to read while i'm waiting in line :hoboj:
