The Dark Knight Dressing up for TDK

I've never dressed up at midnight showings before. Do people tend to give you crap about it or respect you?

I guess it depends on where you live but I've gone to midnight showings at the Ziegfield and other big theaters in NYC for star wars, LOTR, Hellboy etc and you get major props. There's always chicks there who love that geek stuff too and you'll get a lot of attention... people taking pictures, asking where you got your suit etc

but keep in mind this is New York City you have to make sure you look TIGHT or you'll look like an ******* next to the guy who built himself and his son working lightsabers from neon tubes or the dude who custom cast his own batsuit or the group of guys decked out and speaking klingon to each other...

I dont know how you guys in the suburbs do it but it's about the most perfect setting to watch these types of movies. It's like going to a ballgame... everyone is really into it, the atmosphere is electric, everyone laughs and claps at the right places. No one even thinks of making a noise or ruining the movie.

I've got everything for my joker costume now. I'm going to a costume party tomorrow as well and I'm dressing up as Joker there too. I'll post pictures.

for all of you dressing up for the opening weekend showings, i will be the guy pointing and laughing at you :o

ok, i'm just kidding... but seriously:hehe:

How do I look?

I'll take my SDComiCon joker scavenger hunt Joker mask with me, but that's about it.

I'm not going in full makeup

But I will be going in one of the goon masks.

I'm goign to be dressing up as the joker, not from TDK, but as my interpretation of a modernized sort of joker, incorporating aspects of the classic joker and nolan's joker.

My boyfriend is also planning on going as twoface

She is doing my hair and makeup, she did Heath's make-up but isn't fully credited. She lived in Chicago during the filming so she could do the work, she now lives in Austin and works with my sister at her place of work.

I am getting my hair done in about a week, and the make-up will be a full day deal on the seventeenth for the midnight showing.

Also, my costume is currently being done by a professional seamstress who works on costumes for the Majestic theater (the largest stage theater in San Antonio and in the top theaters of Texas.) I just recently tried on the pants and they look picture perfect.

I'm going dressed as Optimus Prime. But I won't be seeing The Dark Knight, I'll be seeing Space Chimps instead.

I'll wear a TDK t-shirt, I'm still deciding whether to go in make-up or not though.

I am not dressing up. Well, I did/do plan on putting on a jester hat, or green hair or something. I am thinking on going as the joker for halloween and did a test.

Whatcha think?

Wow guys this movie really is steaming up big time!!!!

first it was just gona be me,my uncle, his girlffriend and a couple of fhis fiends to see TDK.

No my mom, grandpa(he actually wants to see this at midnight)aunt, another uncle, and like 2 of fmy cousin want to see this at midnight and it just wow surprised alot.

i'm torn between goin as Danny Devito's Penguin or acually buring half my face off and goin as Harvey. I think the latter wud probably be less traumatic :)

I'm wearing a leopard thong, a cowboy hat and flippers on feet.

not dressing up per se, but i will be wearing my purple shirt with green pinstripes with my new Joker shirt underneath, maybe spraying my hair green too...as for makeup, i think i'll pass, but i'm definitely wearing Mr. J's colors. :hoboj:

Yeah, I'd feel a tad bit uncomfortable getting COMPLETELY dressed up. I might mix it up. Maybe the first time I watch it, I'll wear Joker colors and POSSIBLY green hair. Or green-ish hair. The second time I'll be wearing my batman colors and Batman shirt! All in black. Kind of like a Batman in regular outfit, lol. Without the mask.
