The Dark Knight Dressing up for TDK

Don't be that guy.

Wear a Marvel shirt and talk ****.

Originally I was going to go as Harley Quinn. I posted earlier but I can never find any of my old posts. Anyways, I had ordered a Harley Quinn outfit in the mail a while back and I was worried it wouldn't fit. I got it finally! It fits just fine. I bought some face paint too. Well, I had my whole look together and then luck would have it, a very classy and cute guy from my work asked me to go see it with him. He bought tickets to a six or so am showing. I already am going to a 3 am showing with my bro and some of his friends ( I love my friends but their excuse were "I gotta work that day" soooo....) hopefully I will still dress up. I dont think I will be able to get out my Harley Quinn get up to put on my "normal" make-up though. Thank god it is in the same theatre! All of the people who posted a picture of themselves as the JOKER did a great job!! The girl who dressed as Harley Quinn did a good job as well!!
:hq:

Unfortunatly the theatres around me will not allow costumed individuals in. So I am probably going in my normal street gear

I'm going to be dressed in this lovely attire.

(Wish I could take credit for the design, alas I cannot.)

I would go with the full bodysuit, but...nay.

Ok, clowns, here's the almost-finished product. My friends are providing the blonde wig, striped armbands and fishnet stockings. I'm wearing calf-high black boots with it. No pics of me *in* it yet, because as I just explained, it's not finished. Ish. A friend of mine is going as "modern" Ivy, (auburn wig + green clothing...yay),another is going as Two-Face, complete with professional prosthesis, and everyone else in our group is opting simply for a Batman shirt of some kind or Joker makeup.

And to all the SUPER CEREAL internet tough guys dissing the costuming stuff- lay off. Clearly you do not appreciate the culture of a midnight movie. Have you ever heard the song The Freaks Come Out At Night? (Term used lovingly, of course) Especially for hyped-up, big release "geeky" movies like this, yeah, you're gonna see a lot of costumes. Don't want to see costumes? Go to the 3-o'clock showing in Bootlick, Nebraska. Let us "geeks" have our little party. (And this coming from a part-time model/actress) After all, midnight on July 18th, 2008 only comes once.

I think you're gonna set the record for causing the most nerd-boners in one room. Congratulations.

two of my friends and i are going all out. two of us are going to be jokers henchmen and the other will be the joker. we are dressing just like the goons in the film.

I'm going as Lucius Fox. Gonna wear a suit with a bowtie and draw freckles all over my cheeks.

I'm also going to be asking people if they got the memo.

P.S. Can anyone tell me at what post-count can you have an avatar?

I've been considering going in Joker make up, but I haven't been able to put together a whole costume, so I'm not sure, might seem kind of half-assed just makeup with a regular tshirt and shorts lol

I have the socks, which are bad ass and I've got the make-up down pretty well. I'll post pics soon. The only thing that worries me is if the make-up starts to irritate me during the movie to the point that I'd have to get up and wash it off. So, I think I'm going to do a test run tomorrow see how long I can stand it in the make-up.

As for clothes, besides the socks I don't have much. I think I'm just gonna look as spiffy as I can. We'll see.

On Thursday to work when I saw the Tumbler and Batpod, I ALMOST randomly wound up wearing a black golf shirt and slightly dark khaki's (ie. Batman's exact colour scheme) but last minute wore different clothes to work. In hindsight, I wish I had gone with the former haha.

Well, here it is folks....got my fabric screenprinted and the shirt sewn.
These photos are a little bright...the print is actually a nice navy blue.
Now I'm working on sewing the pants---a plummy purple wide-wale corduroy (looks like stripes.
Next is the vest, and then the coat.

Where can I get some very accurate, reliable Joker face make-up/scars and some decent green hair coloring?!?

I need to get them before Thursday...

I'll just be wearing my "Welcome to a World Without Rules shirt" and my CFB pin, with my CFB sticker on my shoulder.:brucebat:

walt you easily had the best joker make up

(Not the pants I'll be wearing)

that shirt is bad ass. i have seen a lot of homemade shirts and while everyone is getting all rediculous about the number of dots in each hexagon you just went for it. love the spiderwebs. looks awesome.

Nice! Did you go Romero style and put make-up over the stache or did you shave? I can't tell from the pic.

no i shaved but this picture was taken after about 15 hours of wearing makeup so you are looking at a decent five o'clock shadow poking through...
