The Amazing Spider-Man Dunst "Definitely on board" Spider-Man 4

So the Broadway version of Spider-Man gets Evan Rachel Wood but the movies get stuck with Kirsten Dunst?! Where is the justice?!!!??!? :csad:

Then they can just spray her down with mist and put some orange gel filters on the lights get that whole megan fox transformers look down.

You should get that twitchy right eye checked out.

I'm saving this as it is literally the first time I have read you complimenting these movies.

hmmm, I recall back in the day there was someone who had said they were boycotting SM. For some reason i thought that might have been you, I'm trying to remember who it could have been now... that's going to bug me all day.

Twitchy eye?? You may need to get that Queer Eye for the Straight Guy checked out then. :woot:

Either that, or you AGAIN need to learn to read. I have always said the first was and is the best. I have always said SM2 was very good. And I have always said I enjoyed aspects of SM3, and found those apsects entertaining.

That Said...

I have ALWAYS said that SM1 was true greatness, EVEN with the ALL about ONE Girl approach. Even with the Cheesy Goblin Power Ranger Outfit. EVEN with the GweMJ horror they wrote into the scrip. EVEN with NOT giving us a true GOBLIN LEGACY.

I have ALWAYS said that SM2's Doc Ock was, and will be the most visually thrilling villain EVER on the Big Screen, EVEN though that was not the Doc Ock I knew, what with the AI Tentacles. I have ALWAYS said the battles between Ock and Spidey in SM2 were PURE Geek Heaven, EVEN though the final battle was a letdown PERIOD, Especially with Ock's I will not DIE A Monster BS.

I have always said SM3 was enjoyable. Heck, I still catch it on cable when it comes on today, and it is very enjoyable (at least ceratin scenes are), EVEN though they butchered beyond recognition a) the symbiote, b) Black Spidey, c) Venom. EVEN though they gave us the 50 ft Sandy (sheesh), EVEN though the final battle was a friggin joke, plain and simple, taking ALL the emotional impact away from Harry's sacrifice.

SM3 was the most disappointing in the series Period. It had the most potential for greatness, and of the 3 failed MISERABLY.

Popcorn fare is great... Unless your in the mood for a Fine 3 Course Meal.

Raimi says TDK has raised the bar??? Sheesh.. It has pointed out what a hack, and "cutesy" Director Raimi Really is. He relies on cameos, funny scenes, cheesy moments, etc... to "deliver us the goods"???? You gotta be kidding me. He SHOWS little to NO RESPECT for the characters and stories that is Spider-Man.

SM3... Harry... Goblin Legacy... Venom... Symbiote... Black Spider-Man... ALL derserved SO MUCH MORE.

You know Rwolf, after reading your posts in the thread TDK has raised the Bar, where you compare SM3 to SM2, as Superman 3 to Superman 2... you have NO RIGHT to even question whether I panned or not SM3, or ANY of the movies.

I am simply starting to think you have a "Man-Crush" or are trying to simply score points. :whatever:

Even I, would not go so far as to compare Superman 3 to Superman 2, as SM3 to SM2. Sheesh.

I'd be willing to throw continuity out the window to see her play MJ on screen. We can just pretend Dunst got really hot , it happens sometimes.

Where is the justice in a chick almost exactly my age banging a crazy like Marilyn Manson? But that aside... this Spiderman on Broadway concept has me interested. Lot's of potential. Definitely a Broadway I could see myself really enjoying... unlike the torture that was Mamma Mia... :csad:

I'm pretty sure, I'm well within my rights to question whatever I want Slag.

Heh, yeah, I am a big Raimi fan, I was pretty excited when I heard back in 2001 that he would be helming Spider-Man and that Cameron's script would not be used. Did you read the draft? So terrible.

Financially both Superman 3 and Spidey 3 share a lot of similarities. Both had higher budgets then the two before them and were successful at the box office despite terrible reviews and set a poor stage for the fourth installment.

You could also argue that the whole 'greatest battle lies within' theme can be seen in both movies.

Superman 3 is a much worse movie than spidey 3 but the comparison is still there regardless.

These pics are from yesterday.. I post 'em so you can see how she's looking nowadays

Please stop with the 'learn to read' comment, or at least use spell check on the same post.

You seem to have enjoyed the Spider-Man movies on a different level than I have, good for you.

Can we at least agree that the whole Harry getting amnesia bit was bad?

She definately looks better. Now, all that remains is red hair like in SM1 and less whining and less focus on her and I think we will be ok.

she is so weird because she can either look very pretty or ugly as hell no middle ground with her LOL

It's all about the hair. If it's not right things will quickly fall apart from there down. So until we see her in the red we won't know. As far as the pics above, pretty average. Could be worse though...

she looks healthy, a little heavy on the eye make-up but I agree with Fat_Tonie; the hair could make it.

Screw continuity if you can get better actors.

I agree. I could care less if Kirsten was gone. I don't get why people care if Kirsten stays when a better choice has been presented.
