No, it was a surprise.

And...probably just saved Elder Scrolls Online. Far as I know, it'd been getting a very cold reception as a PC only title. It coming to PS4...on consoles, seems like a brilliant move.

Looks like you have to pay for MP now. But it's like less than $5 a month. And you really get your money's worth.

Just in case, was wrong on the Titanfall thing. That was just a rumor that X1 had a year exclusive deal. Apparently the reason the team gave for exclusive rights is that they're a small team, and doing 3 platforms at once is too difficult right now. However said that that doesn't rule out it going multiplatform down the road. My guess is that MS paid for a year exclusive like the rumor, and just like with other timed exclusives, they can't confirm it coming to another console yet.

Unless I missed it in the Microsoft conference. Did I? Did Microsoft talk about how Gold would be on X1 and how it would co-exist with my 360 account?

As far as I recall the only XBL Gold thing they mentioned was that you can share a gold membership with your family members.

The thing I liked about 360 was that it felt like a community. Maybe it's because I'm used to 360, but I didn't get that feeling with the PS3. I think the PS4 will have that feeling this gen. More people are definitely going to buy it over the One because it's cheaper. That includes people that chose 360 last gen, so it'll be the same crowd and more.

that sounds like exactly what happened with Bioshock 1. That team denied the PS3 existence for the longest time bc they had a 1 year deal with MS that they tried to keep secret

Those are just placeholder prices until the real ones get announced. Amazon does that when they don't know the price (and their preorder guarantees you the lowest price between when you ordered and when it ships).

No, those are just place holder prices. Those are NOT accurate prices.

I'm pretty sure Sony came out months ago saying the price would stay the same as it is now.

Also, even though it was expected, and no ones talking about it as it's not a huge deal. Still wanted to comment that it's good to know that cross game chat will be a thing on PS4. They kinda glossed over it quick, but it was nice to hear (not sure how much I'll use it though).

They pushed the community aspect pretty hard.

I have no experience with PS network.

Right now I'm trying to figure out the best way to unload my 360 and library of 80+ games to fund myself a PS3.

Thats because Live handled friends lists and chatting between those friends so much better in comparison to the PSn. I think Sony has learned their lesson tho and i fully expect the social aspects of the console to be MUCH better this gen
