E3 2014 - Part 1

You know of everything I saw I really loved the new Dragonball Z game they debuted.

Watching some some big hands on with Shadow of Mordor.. I'm freaking SOLD!

It looks fantastic. So many games this fall. Gotta pay 'em off ASAP..

I loved Microsoft for focusing on games. Sony had a fantastic start, and it came to somewhat of a screeching hault. We didn't need any info Powers, R&C movie, or a trailer for The Last of Us HD. I did appreciate the info on PS Now though.

EA and Ubisoft did nice work. I don't care about Nintendo so... yeah.

I'll be waiting to see what the pricing is like for PS Now before I decide if I'll get a Vita TV. If it's the same as Netflix or a Plus subscription, I'm down for that.

Sony had a good end though, but there was 15 minutes or so of wasted potential. I don't care for LBP either.

Why didn't they show Deep Down?

Sony won E3. Its the only one that has this cool new feature, called Intraplay

IA with most of this except R&C. The info on the movie was done to announce the PS4 remake of the original game. I kind of felt they needed that build up to it instead of dropping it without that context. The Powers talk was out of place but Ratchet was game related at least

I fell like this was a really good E3. I have never liked microsoft at all has i fell like they have really bad games and i have never cared for any of there games at all and there systems tend to break a lot more then sony or nintendo. But i thought they had a really good confernse this year and showed a lot more games then i thought they would. Sony didnt show quite has much has i thought they would but but sony is my favorite has i fell like the tend to have the best games and reable systems. Nintendo i didnt care for the wii only got it for like 2 games and only have like 6 games for it. I already have a wii u and i fell like it is much better then the wii. I already have zelda wind waker, rayman legneds, donkey kong country tropical frezz witch has one of the best soundtracks in any video game ever to me and i have, mario kart 8, super mario world, wounderfull 101, nintendo land, sonic lost world and zombi u.

So i already have 10 games for wii u and i cant wieght for the new zelda has zelda is my favorite video game franchis ever. I am so glad that a new star fox is being made wish they had shown something about it though even if just a screen shoot. I thought splatoo looked really cool to. Super smash borthers should be really good so that will put me to 13 wii u games at least by the time they come out. I hope more is shown about zelda was suprised they didnt come out with the name yet. Batman arkham kinght just looks amazing and the scop and size of the game is just crazzy and scare cowr looks great cant wieght to see more and the batmobli is going to be fun to use. I know mortal kombat is now for its over the top vilence but it looked even more vilent then i thought it would be.

Are there any developers left to announce anything? I'm hoping for an NFL2K come back.

For me, I think the three big companies kind of evened out. Both MS and Sony had good showing, but both conferences were like 85+% third party showings. Outside a few of key games, basically everything major was from a third party developer. To me, Nintendo had a very strong showing for both the Wii U and 3DS, better than I expected, but that's offset by the fact that the third party showing they had were barren and more or less everything they had was first party developed or published by them.

But for me personally, I guess Nintendo and Microsoft were the two man show. Bayonetta 2 will be my most played game by far from this year and of course Smash at the year's end, and MS sold me on a Xbox One with getting a Platinum exclusive and bringing back Phantom Dust. Outside UC4, there was nothing at the Sony conference that made me think "I need to get a PS4", and I'm going to stick with one next gen console most likely this go around. About all they had was the PlayStation TV, but I'm still not sure on it.

I have a Wii U & X1 so Im good. Unless I can win a PS4 in a contest. I dont see my buying one anytime soon

I can afford a PS4 and there are games I definitely wanna play on it, but it's almost a time issue at this point. I have my fiancé moving in in a couple months so I'll have less gaming time than ever. Don't think I can justify multiple consoles with the amount of free time I'll actually have to spend on them.

I had all three systems last gen & the PS3 is what I used the least. I even purchased an adapter to use a 360 controller. I just used the Wii & XBOX more

I still think Sony won for me, because the games they showed ( especially the exclusives ) actually interest me.

In 2nd, surprisingly, is Nintendo. With Zelda finally announced, and other games like Star Fox, I actually find myself interested in getting a Wii U.

MS just didn't offer anything exclusive that I'm interested. nothing that I can't play on my PS4, at least.

That Hunt game seems pretty decent.

My biggest takeaway from E3 this year is "I need to get a Wii U". So I guess Nintendo won for me.

I will probably be getting a Wii U, but I do wish they had a Star Fox demo ready.

I've already preordered a PS4. Microsoft really hasn't shown anything that impresses me.

MS had the over all "best" conference due to the fact that in a world where people demand companies show us games and nothing but games.. They did just that. Whether they interested you or not.. It was a powerhouse list of games and many had "Xbox First" content.. So they still have ALL of their 3rd party
support.

Score: A-

Sony showed off some great looking games but their press conference was fell off, slowed down and just turned into meh. They talked about numbers too much and all of the Sony guys just grew long in the tooth.. like they didn't know where to stop. That, IMHO, hurts their conference.

And the little jabs they had at MS (Kinect) and EA (oddly) were unneeded. Spencer started E3 off very classy... Sony should have followed suit.

Score: B (Kept only from going to a B- due to Destiny, MKX and No Man's Sky)

Nintendo probably won tho I'd say. This is a system people said was dead just a month agobut now due to the games they showed (Not just LoZ) people all over the internet are talking about how they need to get a WiiU. Nintendo really came out looking strong, IMHO.

Score: A+

Well, it's not like no one is buying a PS4 or Xbone.

Come next year, Nintendo is in serious trouble. Third party support has already dried up. The Wii U will be completely outclassed.
