I'm not Chinese, but I am Asian and I'm a huge fan of Jin Yong novels. These similarities have also been discussed in Jin Yong discussion forums before, actually, a few I gathered from other people's opinions, a few what I find myself. I'm fascinated with Japanese and Chinese culture since childhood. I have no interest in DC and Marvel universe (well, maybe except Superman cos Superman III was the first movie I saw in theater and Christopher Reeve's Superman is forever my childhood hero). I don't understand what's so good about Harry Potter, and yes I forced myself to watch through all 8 films. Star Trek bored me (the TV series). But I'm a huge fan of Star Wars. I wasn't sure of the reason until I read about Lucas' inspiration, Kurosawa stuff and read those similarities in a Jin Yong forum. Star Wars meshed the eastern and western culture perfectly and maybe that's why I'm a fan.
Anyway, just saying, if the relationship between Leia and little Ben was anything like Huang Rong and little Yang Guo, then I can imagine what was going on inside little Ben's mind.
