Stupid Chris Claremont had the Shi'ar come gatecrash a Grey family reunion while Rachel was finally getting to know her grands, and they murdered every last one of them, except Rachel--viciously, graphically, tragically.

err...I was joking about her deserving it....but sans Rachel Grey....Jean's entire family and extended family was killed by the Shi'ar in a 24 second attack....
