ELAINE GREY: The Official Character Discussion Thread

Maybe she is? I don't know...

EXT. THE GREYS HOUSE

MAGNETO and XAVIER wait out in the front door. The door unlocks and opens, revealing a red-haired woman, ELAINE GREY.

ELAINE:
"Mr. Lehnsherr? Professor Xavier?"

ERIK/MAGNETO:
"Good afternoon, Mrs Grey."

XAVIER:
"I assume that your daughter is in your house."

ELAINE:
"Yes, she hasn't spoken a word since she's arrived. Come in."

MAGNETO and XAVIER enter as ELAINE closes the door.

INT. THE GREYS HOUSE - JEAN'S BEDROOM

JEAN takes off her X-Men medical clothes and puts on her red dress. Everything around her is floating telekinetically.

CUT TO. THE GREYS HOUSE - LIVING ROOM

MAGNETO is standing while XAVIER is sitting in his wheelchair and ELAINE comes into the room with a tray of two cups of tea.

ERIK/MAGNETO:
"No, thank you."

XAVIER:
"Thank you. So, your daughter is in -"

ELAINE (interrupts):
"Her bedroom, yes. She arrived here about several hours ago. I don't know what happened, but she didn't seem herself."

XAVIER:
"Elaine, I have tragic news."

ELAINE looks at XAVIER in concern.

ELAINE:
"What is it? What's happened to Jean?"

XAVIER:
"The young woman in her room - she sacrificed herself to save us all. She was supposed to be dead, but somehow, she came back and -"

ELAINE (interrupts):
"No. Don't come here and start telling me lies."

XAVIER:
"Elaine, it's the truth. Jean came back and she's very confused. She's more powerful than ever and she's very unstable. We must take her back."

ELAINE:
"No - you can't - Jean?"

ELAINE is looking at JEAN, who's standing behind XAVIER and MAGNETO, as they both turn around.

XAVIER:
"Jean."






And etc etc etc. She starts remembering him blocking her powers and then goes crazy on Xavier. Magneto tries to get Elaine to safety and gets blasted into the kitchen. Jean fights Xavier in the Astral Plane. Xavier gets demolecularized. Jean faints. Magneto takes Jean. Elaine...dunno.

I'd love to see Elaine along line with that. But I'm no writer.

I really like the idea of jean's parents being there when she goes home but the only thing that bugged me was i really think that they would've told jeans parents that she died and i think it would be great if when she showed up her parents starting flipping out and stuff

maybe she saves xavier in the end of the scene or something magneto in unconsious on the floor by the kitchen cupboards jean is mentally attaccking xavier and concentrating on xavier when elaine comes at her from behind and clobbers her ..jean ius unconcious elaine takes xavier who is in great pain rom the mental battle and takes himsomewhere safe leaving his wheelchair behind magneto and jean leave and logan and storm find xavier's empty wheel chair and the house in pieces so they fear the worst...or something like that lol

I like the idea of jeans mom having a big role but i really can't see her knocking jean out though just because if jean is using her psy powers she would sense her mom or something. And does anyone know if jeans dad will be in the movie?

The production notes showed at John is in but not a single picture of Elaine Yet

I loved the scenes (past and present) at Jean's house. One thing bugged me though - What happened to her parents Elaine and John Grey? Did Phoenix kill them? Or did they leave before she arrived?

In the Dark Phoenix Saga when she comes back home she has a moment with both of them and her sister.I felt that a scene like that would have been great in the movie. Anyone else agree?

yep i'm disapointed that they weren't in the house in the scene at the present Elaine looked so much like Jean...in the comics she knocked on the door and he father said who's there and she said "would you belive the wicked witch of the west " or something like that and she would have killed them had the x men not come

the actress is awfully similar to Famke IMHO...i even thought she would be like Famke's sister for some time. And i also wish we could see her in the house when Jean arrives...
