MEET THE LEGION – Struggling to heal from her injuries inflicted by Reign (Odette Annable), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) remains in a dreamlike state, unable to be reached. Mon-El (Chris Wood) recruits one of the Legion members, Brainiac-5 (guest star Jesse Rath), to try to bring her back. Meanwhile, Reign continues her rampage on the city so the DEO teams up with the Legion of Superheroes to try to stop her. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Derek Simon & Eric Carrasco (#310). Original airdate 1/15/18.

I wonder if that's Brainiac-5 saying "Reign defeated you." I don't recognize the voice. He and Imra might be in Kara's head to help her out of her coma, since she appears to be in a Legion pod.

I hope Brainiac 5 tells the truth about the Legion of Superheroes concerning Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, and Cosmic Boy founding the group as well as Superman's membership.

I predict that while Supergirl is in a coma, the Martian Manhunter, Mon-El, Saturn Girl, and Brainiac 5 will try to fight Reign.

I also predict that Lena may learn the truth about either Kara, Sam, or both.

I'm sure Lena will learn Reign's identity before Supergirl's because...plot demands her selective idiocy.

Just a thought here.

I'm thinking that Mon-El was able to see what has happened and he did not see Kara anywhere in the future or just got to know what happened.

Then he decided to come back to do something to save her. And I'm thinking that Mon-El and the new chick isn't married at all. It's just maybe an acting to keep Kara focused on what she's supposed to do or something.

Then next, the Legion comes and bam bam bam! Reign is gone!!!! and Supergirl is back.

Yeah I also think the same. Lena will know who Kara and Sam is

If they have already stated that it was Mon-el that put them together, why would they change that. Just because that is how it is in the comics, they can do whatever they want in the series. Why would they say it was a lie, what would that accomplish, except making it like the comics, which is not always what this series does. Nor should it have to....

I don't want Kara in a coma for very long.....I'm not that invested in the Legion, I'm more invested in Supergirl in her series.

Yeah, I prefer the episodes where Supergirl is the hero in her own series and saves the day all on her own instead of the damsel in distress that needs to be rescued. (Ace Reporter)

That is what I'm thinking....

It will not be a good start to the second half of the season if Kara was in coma for the majority of the episode.

Depends on when she gets out of the coma. It better be in the first 15 minutes, hopefully before the first commercial break.

But you know, Kara was in a coma for most of "For the girl who has everything!" and I really liked that episode. Given how we have seen Kara and others talking while she is unconscious, may be that is how they will approach it?

Anyways, it is possible.

However, For the girl who has everything also had amazing acting from Melissa when she wakes up and then goes to punch Non out (I loved how furious she looked and just from her expression and body language; no words). We would need something equivalent here as well to offset it.

And, we still had a lot of Kara screen time there, so it should be there here as well.

But we saw her as Kara throughout the episode, just not Supergirl. That's fine with me....I just do not want another Ep. 20 of last season.

The thing that saved "Ace Reporter" for me last season was 1. Pretty well written episode, 2. Some fun Kara/Mon-el scenes.....other than that, Lena saving Supergirl was not needed.

What I mean is, in For the Girl Who has Everything, it was still SG who ended up kicking someone...

I didn't much like Ace Reporter (except for Kara/Mon El team up) and I liked only SG/Alex scenes with Marcus (in episode 20), so I agree with you. I'd rather they have her wake up soon than have the entire episode be about the Legion.

Anyways... I don't think they will sit Melissa out for the come back episode of SG. That would be very weird.

Giving this thread a BUMP! Official description released today and added to opening post.

Mon-el is so getting his ass kicked by Reign.

Mon-el is so getting his ass kicked by Reign.

They all better get their ass kicked....

Alex, Jonn, Mon-el, Brainiac 5, Imra.....all of them.

I picked up the Death of Superman trade for cheap, and I am thinking of a fight reminiscent of the JLA vs Doomsday.

And I like Mon-el. Just, I find the thought of Reign slapping him around entertaining.

The last thing you want to do is diminish Reign as a threat and have her replace by another villain like they did in the last 2 seasons.

Also that Supergirl may be unconscious, she will spend screentime with Brainiac 5 and maybe Allura if she reappears.

I wonder if the end of this episode may lead to the next episode Fort Rozz.

Saturn Girl is likely to crack the Reign personality's hold over Sam.

I think Saturn Girl will be the first to find out that Sam is Reign.

Imra doesn't know Sam. So, how would she do that? I think it'll be Lena. That moment in 9 when she notices something is off with Sam is foreshadowing.

And, she still wouldn't know Kara is Supergirl. I guess, Kara is Lena's blindspot.

The rest of them may have difficulties with Reign but I think they--may be after Kara comes back--will either find a temporary solution; or more likely, the Sam/Ruby effect will save them and Reign will withdraw temporarily to regroup. In fact, that would be more interesting.

Reign facing her own struggles in her path to villainy while Kara faces hers in her path to heroism.

Extended promo:

Yikes, Brainiac 5 looks Indigo bad. I guess we can rule him out as a love interest with him looking that goofy, lol.

The wig is better at least. But then again, I am used to seeing Rath in a white wig.

Then again, the wig seems weird, better in some shots, bad in others. The makeup does seem a tad better, not quite as caked on as Indigo's seemed to be. Could just be the color, though.

I think he may just be a hard character to translate into live action.

That is one ugly hair piece they gave him. *They Definitely won't be pursuing anything with him/kara on the show, they would've made him look better.
