Do you really think that everyone who saw LOTR and Harry Potter (to use major examples) read the books?

Judging by the trailer, it seems that way to me.terry78 said:They really aren't going to pull out all the stops for a movie based on a novel written by a kid.
That's just how I view this whole thing.

BloodyWolverine said:I read Eragon after hearing about them making the movie. I had heard of it when it first came out for it had made good numbers against Harry Potter 5 i believe. But i never read it until i heard about then making a movie.
Many did not like the catsing but when i heard that Malcovich and Irons were attached i was more interested. Like i say it could be better then we expect for it does have a fan base. Not Rings or Potter size but big enough.
Rachel Weisz Cast For Voice Of Saphira?

Shur'tugal now has reason to believe that Rachel Weisz, known for movies such as The Constant Gardener and Constantine, has been cast for the voice of Saphira in the Eragon movie. Weisz's name appeared on the bottom of the most recent Eragon movie poster (her name has been boxed in red), with the word "with" appearing before her name, indicating that her voice, and not image, will be in the movie. Weisz's voice, a female voice with a British accent, is exactly what Fox has said they were looking for.
Fox has kept quiet about the voice for Saphira until now, having not made any comments. When asked to confirm or comment, our Fox representative told us that Fox has no comment at this time, however, we were told to expect an official announcement soon. We'll update you as soon as we know more
