So they tell us it will be up this week and then it's not up this week. And they haven't given us a serious update since. Wonderful.

According to MSNBC, the Hacks already started by posting peoples personal info online but was quickly taken down. In addition and as expected, delaying PSN coming back. More time to work on trophies I'll say...

Not to dredge up the conversation that has occurred on the past few pages, but I still think people are apportioning too much blame on Sony and not on the hackers themselves. That's why I'll never be too pissed to "switch teams" as they say and head on over to 360. Sony has actually been victimized, despite what people are saying, and the hackers are criminals.

The blame the victim mentality is just how a lot of us think when it comes to someone that's supposed to be this huge paragon in the industry that should by all rights, never be vulnerable.

Sony should have kept quiet, and not gotten people's hopes up for this week. It was kinda strange that they had told us that PSN would be up at then end of the week, but telling us that on a Thursday?

Brace yourselves, More disappointing news:

Sony is reneging on a promise to reboot its PlayStation Network and start bringing its 77 million customers back online anytime soon. Sony posted an update to its PlayStation blog Friday stating it was "unaware of the extent of the (network) attack" adding it needs to "conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system" before it can restart its network....

Its Official now. Despite this latest setback, I'm not surprised at their decision. This will only add to the skepticism and criticism that Sony's been enduring. However, IMO, It was the right decision to delay the PSN coming back so that they may further look over the network/server infrastructure as a whole. Here's looking at next week....

Ya know, it wasn't until the last few days when Sony started getting our hopes up that I think most of us expected it to last past this week. They were sort of sending us the smoke signals of that prior to telling us it'd be up at the end of this week.

Especially when Stringer said that they were in the "final stages of testing", which sounded really promising...

Sony is gonna be ****ed come E3 due to all the pointed questions and comments they're gonna get that they obviously won't feel like answering.

Does any other channel aside from G4 show the E3 Conferences ? Since DirectTV dropped it I wont be able to watch them unless I stream it. I guess I could watch the first 10 minutes or so online of the Sony Conference to hear all of the booing & what not

Good. I hope they get asked why, even though they knew, they chose not to do anything about their outdated software and lack of a firewall.

Unless they catch the hackers and throw them in jail, no matter what they do, they will probably be attacked again as soon as the PSN goes back online.

I wonder if this will eventually make DC Universe Online Free To Play ? The longer the PSN is down the more free time users get & the free month already when its back up. They wont be making any profits anytime soon
