Bethesda Fallout 4

It's probably going to be a while. The delay is said to be "indefinite".

ah, I see. thanks.

hopefully, they can fix this issue soon. Otherwise, I may switch to the X1 if I want to play mods in Fallout.

I'm actually more concerned about the potential problems for Skyrim mods on the PS4. if Skyrim suffers the same problems on PS4 as the Fallout 4 mods seemingly are, then that will make me more likely to play Skyrim on the X1 instead.

so, a question for those of you using mods on the X1.

are there any "prettier female faces" mods available on the X1 ( and thus on consoles )?

and, if so, can you use those "face" mods only when you 1st create the character?

or, can you apply those mods to an already created character?

thanks.

Man...they've been extremely silent on the mods front for PS4.

I'm beginning to wonder if they'll just abandon it completely. I would assume the upcoming Skyrim release is the only reason they'd have to force themselves to figure this out and get them working on the console. But, it's been so silent that it's starting to seem really, really, bad, I think.

Well, if they cancel one (say Fallout) they are cancelling the other, because if they can't figure it out for Fallout they probably can't figure it out for Skyrim. I really wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen, which would leave me with zero incentive to buy PS4 Skyrim.

the only they put out is this today.

They're likely being quite til they can just say the mod's ready for the ps4 cause that's pretty much all anyone wants toe hear for that side. saying other wise. well.... hopefully they manage to get it fix/ done and over with.

This game has reached a price point Im willing to pay. Should I get this on X1? The mods interest me, but are they really worth it? And is the game more stable on X1 or PS4?

EP Daily Rundown for August 15, 2016

Happy Monday! Today in the Rundown, we discuss the delay of Final Fantasy 15, smell the latest on South Park: The Fractured but Whole, examine the longevity of the shared DC cinematic universe, and finally, head to the wasteland for a double dose of Fallout news!
You are going to have to wait an extra two months to play Final Fantasy 15. After several rumours surfaced over the weekend, Square Enix officially delayed the new game this morning. It was slated to arrive at the end of September, but will now land on November 29. Can you guess why they pushed it back? As with pretty much every delay, the developers say they need more time to polish the game, and make sure it’s as good as players are expecting. That’s fine by us. We want games to be good, and two months isn’t that much of a wait. Taking the time to make it right seems is especially important for the Final Fantasy team given all the problems they had with their last big game, Final Fantasy 14. It was rushed out with loads of problems in 2010, only to be taken offline and completely retooled and released three years later. It looks like they don’t want to repeat the same mistakes with Final Fantasy 15. We’ll keep you up to date with the latest on the game as its new release date approaches.
Ubisoft is taking immersion to a smelly new level. With their new game South Park: The Fractured But Whole right around the corner, they’ve announced a new peripheral built for the game that’s a little unusual to say the least. It’s called the Nosulus Rift, and is a device you wear around your nose that unleashes fart smells whenever your character farts within the game. Seriously. This isn’t a joke, we checked. The device uses special perfume, not real farts, to simulate the smell of one, which the developers hope will make the game that much more realistic, not to mention funny. The public will be able to try out the Nosulus Rift with the game at the massive Gamescom event in Germany later this week. Although the device is real, Ubisoft hasn’t said if they plan to produce it on a large enough scale to sell it in stores, but if they do, it will likely arrive around the same time as The Fractured But Whole, which launches December 6. The Nosulus Rift seems like it could be a useful peripheral for other Ubisoft games. Imagine smelling burnt rubber in racing games like The Crew? Or smelling the garbage lining the streets in The Division? Or roasting human flesh when taking on the cannibals in Far Cry Primal? Hopefully it becomes a reality.
More evidence has come in that Warner Bros has a serious problem on their hands with their shared DC cinematic universe. Suicide Squad, the latest film in the DC lineup, was the number one movie at the box office for the second week in a row, raking in $43 million. That’s obviously a lot of money, but here’s the problem: the film’s second weekend haul was a very steep 67% less than what it made in its opening weekend. Every movie takes a hit in its second week, but a drop this step is extremely rare, and the only other film with a comparable decline this year was Batman v Superman, which saw a 69% drop. We previously reported that Suicide Squad had a big drop in revenue from its opening Friday to the following Saturday, but now that the numbers are continuing to fall at such a steep rate from week to week, we can safely saw that it wasn’t a fluke. Suicide Squad would be making a lot more money if it was a better movie. Like Batman v Superman, the negative word-of-mouth is hurting the film in the long run, which is especially problematic given that these films are part of an on-going cinematic universe. If audiences are put off by the early films, they probably won’t keep coming back for more. Thankfully there’s still time for Warner Bros and DC to turn things around; all they have to do is start making better movies. Hopefully next year’s Wonder Woman will be the first undisputably awesome movie in the shared DC cinematic universe. It comes out Summer 2017.

Get ready to say goodbye to Fallout 4. Bethesda has announced that the final batch of DLC for the game will hit all platforms on August 30. Titled Nuka-World, it gives players a massive post-apocalyptic amusement park to explore, filled with all kinds of different attractions, new weapons and items, characters and creatures, and other fun stuff. Think of it as a more deadly version of Disneyland, which seems like the perfect setting for Bethesda to unleash their familiar brand of dark humour. Nuka-World is the sixth expansion included in the game’s Season Pass, and it looks like it will be the biggest, because its download size is reportedly larger than the last expansion, Far Harbour. Now that all the DLC for the game is finished, don’t be surprised if a complete Game of the Year edition of Fallout 4 is announced in the near future.
And some people are already getting anxious to play a new game in the Fallout series. Users on NeoGaf claim to have spotted a trademark registration filed in the European Union for something called Fallout: New Orleans, and it even comes with a logo. This seems like it’s probably an internet hoax because there’s no indication that the trademark was actually filed by Bethesda, but still, you can’t blame people for wanting more Fallout. The idea of a new game coming so soon after Fallout 4 isn’t that far fetched though; Fallout: New Vegas came out just two years after Fallout 3, although it was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and not Bethesda. If they follow the same pattern, we could see a new Fallout game in the next few years, although you should take any rumours with a heavy dose of skepticism until official announcements are made.

Bethesda Softworks has released the debut trailer and new screenshots for Fallout 4 add-on “Nuka-World,” which is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 30.

Nuka-World is a “vast” amusement park featuring Raider gangs and unique park zones like “Safari Adventure,” “World of Refreshment,” “Dry Rock Gulch,” “Kiddie Kingdom,” “Galactic Zone,” and “Nuka-Town, USA.” The park offers new quests, Raiders factions, weapons, creatures, and more.

The base game runs like **** on either console. Far Harbor has major issues on PS4.

How is this on PC? I just built my first computer and have been messing with mods for Skyrim and I'm loving the results (once I get them to work).

I have this on PS4 and I'm mostly just trying to finish it for the platinum, but I'd love to mess around with mods for this too.

The PC version is the most stable version of the game.

Sounds like a typical Fallout game. :funny:

Indeed, the Skyrim redux is going to run like **** too. Out of all the talented studios under Bethesda's belt, their in house development team is the worst studio they have. Hand this series off to Arkane and call it a ****ing day.

Not going to lie, after playing Skyrim on PC for an hour, I was very surprised at home much better the load times were, especially since I was also playing Fallout 4 on PS4 and waited almost a minute for the first load screen to pass.

Even with mods though, it's still not as bad. But I'm really hoping the PS4 version is a big improvement.

If you're interested in using mods on console at all, even a little bit, then go with the Xbox One. PS4 was supposed to get mods in June. We're now nearing the end of August, and Bethesda isn't saying **** about it.

Ontop of that, Far Harbor had problems on PS4. There was this fog effect that gave a different mood to the new island setting. But, apparently the fog was causing major issues on PS4. So...instead of solving it, what Bethesda did was rip out the fog from the DLC, which I've been told made gave it a creepy, eerie vibe. I've played the DLC and Far Harbor ends up looking pretty much the same as the Commonwealth with a far less imposing fog to it.

If I had the chance to do it all again, I'd had gotten the game on Xbox One. I think that whenever I wind up getting the Skyrim remaster, even if years later, I'm thinking it'd be on the Xbox One.

Hell, the only reason I still think they'll figure out mods on PS4 is because they're on the hook for with Skyrim. I mean, they're also on the hook for it with Fallout 4...but, I think if it wasn't for Skyrim they might as well have abandoned it by now.

Are there any bugs/glitches that will cause Fallout 4 to crash on PC, like there were with Skyrim.

I had some issues early on with mods there, and trying to keep the RAM from hitting 3.1gb because that would cause it to automatically crash to desktop. And this weekend, I put in a second monitor and noticed it kept crashing when I had them both activated.

I just got Fallout 4 last night and I'm anxious to test out some mods with it, but I just want to know if there's anything I should be aware of beforehand.

there are but they aren't as bad as they ever get on the ps4. and are fixed pretty fast.

Bethesda has never put out a game that doesn't have bug's in them sadly to say. and some time they do get in the way of playing them alot.

Fallout 4’s Nuka-World Can Be Quite The Challenge. September 1, 2016 . 12:00pm

Fallout 4’s Nuka-World radio broadcast won’t show up until you’re level 30, which you should take as a warning. While it can be jovial, it’s also a challenging place.

Start a discussion! Read >

Fallout 4’s final DLC is here, bringing Nuka-World to the Commonwealth. While it isn’t exactly the happiest place on earth, due to the current state of affairs, it is still largely intact. The attractions remain. There are plenty of resources. You can even enjoy some lighthearted activities. But mostly, you’re going to face quite the challenge. Nuka-World does quite a bit to challenge people drawn to the theme park.

That Nuka-World’s radio signal doesn’t unlock until you’re level 30 should be quite a hint. Once you reach or pass that point, you can find a quest under data and listen to Harvey’s broadcast on the radio. That gives you a waypoint. If you’re at a lower level, you can still get in. You just have to find Nuka-World on your own. Go to the Federal Ration Stockpile and head directly west, toward the edge of the map. At a run, you should reach the Nuka-World transit station in under five minutes. Just… don’t keep running when you get there. People are waiting for you. Personally, I recommend making an approach from the left side. There’s a gate you can unlock, provided you have Advanced lockpicking skills, and it’s much easier to take people on when they’re forced to funnel through that door.

Once you get past that, you’re put through the Gauntlet. Nuka-World belongs to three Raider gangs known as the Disciples, Operators, and The Pack. While a man named Porter Gage, a former Raider, is on your side, you first need to bring a peace of sorts to the park. Which isn’t easy, since that involves taking the fight to all bosses, as well as using Star Cores to stop the Galactic Zone’s robots. Once again, lockpicking skills can help save the day. It almost feels like Fallout 4’s Nuka-World expects you to be as sneaky and advanced as the Raiders you’re facing, ready to be underhanded with Advanced or Master lockpicking skills or making yourself a Lady Killer or Man Hunter to talk yourself out of trouble.

I mean, you know a situation is going to be bad when even Nuka-World’s Deathclaws are deadlier. A standard Deathclaw is at level 22. The Quantum Deathclaws, which have naturally been feeding on Nuka Cola all these years, are at level 41. That means double the health and defense, over twice as strong, and naturally quite aggressive. But then, it’s fitting, since this Fallout 4 expansion is also home to other daunting creatures like ant swarms, cave crickets, and gatorclaws. You know it’s a bad situation when the hordes of Raiders might just be the friendliest faces there. I highly recommend coming in at least at level 25. But then, I arrived at level 25 and struggled, so 30 could be safest of all.

That isn’t to say you can’t enjoy a little levity in this experience. Fallout 4’s Nuka-World provides plenty of opportunities to be silly, sight-see, and have the kinds of adventures you’d expect in an amusement park. You’re able to mix flavors of Nuka Cola, as an example, either through following recipes immediately available or by applying ones you’ve found throughout the park. There are 20 flavors you can make and doing so gets you the Beverageer honor. It’s worth it, since all drinks restore health or action points and occasionally offer buffs.

A few of the basic Nuka Cola recipes will be immediately available at the Mixers you find in the park. For example, one Nuka Cola and one Nuka Cherry makes a Newka Cola, which restores 200 HP and 50 AP. I recommend saving as many sodas as you can, because Nuka-World’s Cappy’s Cafe has the best recipe. It’s there that you learn to make Nuka-Cide, which uses a Nuka Cola, Nuka Cherry, Nuka Dark, Nuka Grape, Nuka Quantum, Nuka Quartz, and Nuka Victory. All of those blended together restores 1,200 HP and 300 AP, while also adding buffs that add 20 HP, 50 AP, 35 Rad Resist, and 35 carry weight. It’s great, and something you will absolutely need to survive this Fallout 4 DLC.

There’s also a Nuka-Cade to visit. It’s an arcade with five games inspired by classic ones you’d see in a real arcade, like Atomic Rollers, The Bandit Roundup, Hoop Shot, The Nuka Zapper Race, and Red Menace Whac-a-Commie. Each game requires a token to play. You get one from Fritsch when you come to the arcade. You can buy more from him for six caps each, use pre-war money in the token dispensers to find more, or check locations around Nuka-World in the hopes of finding them. You can also redeem tickets at the arcade, either ones earned or found, to get various prizes. I recommend earning and spending at least 600 tickets. That can get you the Paddle Ball weapon and some ammo for it. It doesn’t do much damage (one point of damage per hit, to be exact), but it’s silly fun.

There’s a certain satisfaction that comes from playing through Fallout 4’s Nuka-World. This is a place for people who’ve spent hours leveling up their character and becoming the best they can be. Think of this location as a means of putting all of those skills to the test, with fun activities like soda mixing and arcade games as a change of pace. If you approach it at the proper level and with an empty bag for all the soda and arcade prizes you’ll collect, you’ll enjoy quite a holiday in the park.

Fallout 4 is immediately available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
