Things like the Trank rumors all came out of someones ass. Things like that got spreaded here and everyone went crazy about it, thats what I'm trying to say.

And where was Fox during all of this? it isn't hard to draft a press release putting rumors to bed, but complete radio silence? Something happened.

I can't agree with you here. ten years ago, you would have been right. but things have changed so much that we as an audience can expect quality standards from our CBMs

Yeah it boggles the mind people are still in "at least we're getting something" mode.

Found the podcast.

1. He could have been talking about Jurassic World.

2. Going through reshoots is hardly the worst thing that could happen. Iron Man was said to be a trainwreck that was fixed in the editing room, so was Apocalypse Now, so was World Wr Z. There are plenty of films that were fixed during reshoots that you don't know were fixed because the studio locked everyone into an NDA. Would you prefer if Fox decided to release it as is?

1. Is that really your defense? Come on man, you and I both know he ain't talking about Jurassic World.

2. Notice that in the podcast, he doesn't call it a mess because it's going through reshoots. He says the film is a mess and because of that, they are undergoing pretty extensive reshoots. He also goes so far as to call that the directors last big studio film. That seems like a much bigger problem that reshoots can't exactly patch.

You can cherry-pick what you do and don't believe, but at this point we're relatively certain that Kinberg lied about the amount of reshoots they are doing which isn't a good sign.
And yes, I'd love it if Fox released the movie now as is. I'm not seeing it either way so it doesn't matter to me.

Why didn't Obama release evidence of his baptism to prove he wasn't a secret Muslim?!!! It must be somewhat true.


Saying there's problems on set is one thing. Saying there's a trashed house with no evidence is another. We can get photos of Kate Middleton naked on an island from 1000 ft but no one can bother to take a picture of the house he trashed? Or a police call? The proof is out there if there is any.

Why should they deny something that isn't true? That might lead to what the real problem actual is.



Edit: If the movie flops, the truth will come out. The front page of Deadline will tell it. If it succeeds, all these will be swept under the rug and Fox will pat themselves on their back like they knew Trank had the right stuff the whole time.

Secondly that story assume Fox can write a check that sweeps it all under the rug. If it was really a bad house trashing, you got to have cops involved, lawyers, and once you get the law involved thats a keg of dynamite.

I agree. I mean some of the best directors ever were *******s and had tempers, yet they delivered great work.

It can be when that person is such a screwup they cost the studio $$$ and necessitate a replacement partway through filming.

I don't see the big deal. Who cares? if it happened it's a personal issue for Trank, and he either takes care of it or doesn't. If it didn't happen, then everyone is happy.

I don't see how him perhaps deciding one day to trash a room has any bearing on the movie.

History is littered with Artists who have produced memorable art despite odd personalities and eccentricities.

Just look at Michael Jackson. Excellent music, crazy fellow
